FFXIV A Realm Retold

[Chasym]

Check out this video series of the entire 1.0 story line being fan dubbed and released, with a very special ending in the future. I just finished an audition for this and will be appearing somewhere from chapter 3 on as a voice for some character/characters. I will be helping with other things as well from chapter 3 onward, very nice if you liked the story or want to be caught up on it!

I've actually watched the first episode (I think it's the only one out) and thought it was neat. I don't mind watching it at all because I didn't really get to enjoy much of the story (or anything) about XIV 1.0, you know, since the game was utterly horrible to actually try to play.

That doesn't mean the story itself was bad though, and from what I've seen so far I enjoyed. I did play Limsa, and most of what was on the first episode I actually did experience before I quit, but I'm interested in what the rest was like as well.

I feel some VA's are (noticeably) better than others, but I guess that's to be expected when the whole project is volunteer work.

There is also this: http://www.dualshockers.com/2012/11/14/final-fantasy-xiv-the-story-so-far-episode-1-beginnings/

It's all wrapped up now.

Yeah that one is the reason this project exists, most people get bored having to read through those videos so these guys decided to do a full dub without any text, and the final episode is being worked on well in advance and will be unlike anything from 1.0 entirely, still following the story but never before seen.

Aye, I wasn't trying to say people should do one over the other, but really, most people who'd enjoy one would enjoy the other as well. The story is kinda wonky, so every interpretation done is really worth checking out if people are interested.

Chapter 2 is now available. I am credited as the Audio Assistant in the opening credits. Trying out for voices in chapter 3 so hopefully I will make a vocal appearance in that episode! Check it out!

Nice, good luck with the endeavor. I just finished watching chapter 2 a bit ago. Helps me a ton to know what exactly went on in the 1.0 LL storyline, since that's where I started and would have continued playing had 1.0 not been so terrible to actually play.
