FFXIV Collector's Edition: Remaking your character?

Let's say you bought FFXIV Collector's Edition. You got the Onion Helm, Hermes' Sandals, and all that.

But you're not satisfied with the server that you're on.

As long as you don't cancel your account, and simply delete and remake the character, you can start on another server and still have the Onion Helm, Hermes Sandals and all that, yes?

Just curious, that's all.

Can anyone confirm?

Yes. From everything I read, yes. That stuff is linked to your account, not your server.

I have a chance to get those Asuran Armguards from FF13 now.

Yes, you could always link those to your account even after you created it. But if you added them now and still wanted to use your current character they wouldn't show up on it, they would only show up on new characters. But if you add them now, then delete your current character, and remake it. They would be in your account no matter what server you chose.

I'm not sure about the Hermes Sandals. As long as your FFXI account is active they should be there but if you've canceled XI I don't know if they would show up on a new character.

Tested it out last night. I deleted my Lindblum character and restarted on Istory.

I got all three of my items. My Onion Helm, Asuran Armbands, and Hermes' Sandals. Like you guys said, the information's saved server account-side.

So if anyone else is thinking of restarting, there's your proof it works right there.
