FFXIwiki sells out to Wikia, tries to pocket donation money

that is pretty damn epic...
 
What those people did is terrible, but I'm going to be the anti-protagonist here.

Taj is a total asshole. He hacked the paypal of a few guys on BGLS and posted a bunch of their personal information, bought a bunch of stuff, had stuff mailed to them (dildos etc) and got them in some legal trouble.

"for the lulz" if I may.

I find that sickening, how people get their kicks by ruining other peoples--who they don't even know, lives, if only in the short term.

Also take into account that he's commiting several felonies just posting this stuff, and would probably do the same thing to any of you, just for standing out.

I know this personally, I posted something to this extent on another forum where these people were quite rampant (no, not 4chan) and had police coming to my house several times a day, for about 4 or 5 days.

It's not really that horrible, but it certainly is annoying to have the police check your house over every few hours, every day.

Just because of a comment you made on the internet.

I could go on further, but this post is already a tl;dr. so cheers.
 
Reading that thread taught me two things:

1.) the owners of ffxiclopedia are moderately greedy.
2.) the members of BG are willfully innocent.
 
I love when lying bastards get found out!~

After all, they could've just said the truth. Good for them if they get money for the job they did. It really doesn't matter if it was $1 or $1,000,000 when they conspired and mishandled money like that. They showed they are not fit to do an honest job...

if given the chance to sell a website you've created for a large sum of money wouldn't you go for it?

i'm just sayin it really doesnt surprise me much
 
Crime never pays. But it's sure as hell entertaining when you watch the poor sap get caught. Even moreso when it's Taj that catches him.

Hell, its understandable they sold the wiki for money. The only bad thing they did was steal the 9k bucks that were donated, but that "Gil" person already said she'd help them repay the money they donated.

Aside from Gil being a boy, i hope at least, most people aren't angry that they sold wiki. People are angry because of how shady and underhanded they were in doing so. People are also probably upset that they wanted to pocket the 9k from donations, weather or not this Gil is going to repay.
