Game came out in 2016 bud. Missed the boat.
The level of disconnection you have from this culture is hilarious, lol.
This was the first time you heard of this game even existing, wasn't it?
Give it up man.
Honestly, a big part of what made this site so great is that it served as a hub for people to do various things in a shared world. Schedule some dynamis, go play. Sell an item at auction, go make the trade. Flame somebody, get flamed back. On the other hand, FFXV - even with the multiplayer option - isn't the sort of game that would benefit from these things. At best, people can find each other here and decide to start or play the game together for a while.
While I'll always have fond memories of this place, at this point it doesn't have much to offer what remains of its community. If it truly has gone cold, then it may be time to lay it out to pasture.

Well, if this place became somewhat active again, would you still not visit the forum?
Shome's right the community of this forum was all about us being together on one server and needing to talk to work around each other or air our greiveances. Definitely great times, but no real way of bringing that back. Most MMO's these days do a decent job of providing community within official channels or on reddit/discord, while at the same time not needing as much a integrated server community as ffxi since everything's instanced and you can basically play most mmo's solo now.
Incase anyone's curious and/or playing ffxiv: I'm currently playing as Sopa Conleche on Jenova. Been pretty casual this tier and taking it slow but have been raiding on ffxiv for about 2 years total now. I also stream raid nights here: https://www.twitch.tv/sopaconleche
Game was disgusting, with the product placement, I was a hard core Final Fantasy fan, late few games, no so much. I knew something would be wring with this one, cause it was supposed to be Final Fantasy XIII Versus, but Square Enix went bankrupt then had to postpone and rename it, but I gave them the benifit of the doubt.
First, the product placement, introducing camp just to show "Coleman" all the time, then "Cup Noodles" billboards everywhere, and "Lance" crackers in the gas stations, it made me sick.
Second, trying to force emotional responses. I call it the "oh by the way" effect. Like nobody's dying off screen and you're supposed to feel sad after just meeting. "Oh by the way, the guy you just met died, you should feel sad then go get revenge" "by the way that girl you just met died, feel sad" there are a lot more "oh by the way" moments, of things just being sprung on you without any back story.
Third, the game is just plain unfinished, all the areas look the same and copy and pasted, and areas are obviously unfinished, parts of the story was missing, and the ending...has an overly used time gap just to cover up that they didnt actually get to the ending and had to stop working on it, not to mention, it made no sense at all, no matter how hard you try to inject it with a hippy lovie mentality, they sacrifice themselves to beat an enemy that has already won, it took over the world and killed just about everyone, its the apocolypse, the world ended, theres literally only a few dozen people left alive, and they try to make it all artistic by adding a happy dream, everyobes dead it doesnt natter, this dream doesnt natter at all.
Crappiest craprastic emo piece of crapload ever.
Always cracked me up that stores across Eos accept American Express.
