The point I was making was...no one gives a shit about the legality, people will do what they want. There's your parallel - pot is illegal, no gives a shit; import goods from Cuba are illegal, no one gives a flying fuck.

Pot is so lax here in San Francisco that even if you get pulled over from a cop and have an 1/8th and a pipe on you they just confiscate the pot and break the pipe. I haven't heard of anyone getting arrested for that amount of weed. I can't remember the exact amount but if you have a quarter ounce of weed in a single bag you get fined for like $125.00 I believe.
