Anyone know a easier way to get GPs in the Gold saucer...? 32k BP for Omislash is kind of too much...time

32,000 BP really won't be all too many GP if you get lucky (rather, unlucky) with the slots. Easiest way to get GP aside from spending a shitload of gil on the guy who shows up to exchange it every now and then is to race chocobos. If you don't have a gold chocobo, you might wanna consider doing that to -incredibly- easily rake in the GP (exchange items you get for winning races for GP, anywhere from 5-500GP per item I believe).

Edit: Forgot you might not know who the exchanger is. Randomly, every time you zone into the Saucer from the ship thingy (from Corel), there's a chance a fat little kid is standing behind the building behind the savepoint. You'll be able to see his head sticking out if he's there. I really can't remember exactly, but something like 1000 gil = 1 GP.. or something.. but there's a limit to how much you can get each time.

level level level level level

Put your strongest Character up in the arena

Hold down circle until the end.

Easiest way to get GP is race chocobos and always take the GP.

There are 5 or 6 items that will give you upwards of 300gp.

As far as battle points go...

Use Cloud.
Equip a Ribbon. That'll take care of status effects.
Equip a Mystile. That makes it to where you pretty much can't get hit.
Equip every counter attack materia you have, as they stack.
Equip Double Cut Materia.
(Added Effect)=(Contain) on your weapon helps too.
KoR helps if you have it, if not (Quadra Magic)=(Bahamut Zero).

This will pretty much ensure victory. Unless you real bad status effects. But remember, the worse your luck on Debuff slots, the more battle points you get at the end of the fight.

some reason i cant race the chocobos...

Only thing i can do is buy tickets and place bets, like a greyhound track. :/
Oh and where im in the game... Right after Cloud wakes up from his Vegetable state.

yeah deffinatly do the battle arena

you can't race chocos because you are talking to the wrong person.

first thing you need is to Breed your own Choco.

If you have not done this, here is how you do it.

1. Go to the chocobo tracks to the north of rocket town. There are 2 sets, a larger set just to the north and a smaller set a bit further north of the larger set. I have always had better luck with the smaller set.

2. Catch 6 Chocos and send em back to the stables(you have to go rent the stables for 10k each first).

3. Go to the stables and talk to Choco Billy and tell him you want to move chocos to the stables. You need a great or a Good Chocobo (dosen't matter which). You need a male and a female. I always name them something like grm1 or gdf1 to keep track of what they are. If you didn't catch one of each sex that is great/good, repeat step 2.

4. Feed them about 70 Sylkis Greens each. These can be bought from the ChocoSage for 5000gil each.

5. go to gold saucer and race them. You have to talk to Ester, she is standing to the left of the counter where you place bids. Race the chocos till you get them to S class. If you can't get them past A class, it'll be ok. Here is a tip, hold down L1, L2, R1, and R2 and yer bird regains stamina while you race.

6. Now that you have 2 s class birds, go breed them. Save outside the choco farm before you breed in case you get a bird that isn't blue or green. Choco billy will ask you to talk to the 2 you want to breed. After you pick the 2 chocos, he will ask you what kind of nut to use. Use a carob nut*. If you are lucky, you'll get a blue or green chicken, The Sex doesent matter.

*Carob nuts can be abtained in 2 ways. The easier way is buy it at the Gold Saucer in wonder square, but it cost like 500gp to do that. You can also fight a monster outside of Bone Village(not in the forest area). It a red Dragon looking thing it has about 40k HP. I don't recall weather he drops it or you have to Morph him or steal it from him. I think it's stolen.

7. Feed your new chicken 70ish Sylkis Greens and then race him to S class.

8. after that is done, go breed your 2 great/good chickens again, using another Carob nut. This time, you have to get opposite sex and color of your last one. Save before you do it, as you might need to reset if you don't get the proper one.

9. see step 7.

10. now you breed your S Class green and blue with a Carob nut. This gives you a Black Chicken. If it doesen't, reset and try again. After you get the black one, repeat step 7.

11. Now you have to Find a Wonderful Choco. They can be found around the tracks in the snow, next to the snow town. It has to be opposite sex of your Black one.

12. Feed it. Race it. Breed it with the black one using a Zeio nut. Zeio Nuts are obtained from Goblins. Goblins can be found in the forest on an Island north of Midgar. Stolen/morphed/Dropped, I don't remember. After you breed it, feed it and it should have about 140-170 Speed and it will have 999 Stamina.

You now have a gold chicken and will spank all other chickens in S class every single race no matter what. You can get items worth up to 500gp from the races. Not to mention you get Mime, HP<->MP, Quadra Magic, and KoR for breeding Chickens.

You can do all this on the 2nd disc when you have the airship, but I always wait till the 3rd disc.

I played this game waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

Carob nuts can also be found off Goblins on the small island northeast of the farm. You need the Airship to get to it.

O_O i just took a look at the greens i need.
70 Gyshal Greens average about 250k LoL

Also... i found out if you leave the battle areana you lose all your BPs whats up with that :/

Really for Arena, Long Range materia is a good thing to have. If not, just use Vincent or Barret, perferrably Barret because Vincent's limit breaks are kinda counterintuitive if he's the only one around.

Wow... it's been forever since I played and mastered FF7... I remember chocobo racing a lot, and doing the battle arenas, but all my chars were pretty much at lvl 99.

I know it takes a lot of time, and it even takes time to use omnislash to begin with, unless you're finishing off Sephiroth.
