Saw an interview on Games Radar with the guys involved in remaking Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS.

It seems they've enjoyed the process so much they're interested in remaking other games from the series...

This is the first time for this game to come to the US. Alongside the plans for FFV and FFVI, we'll soon have seen remakes of every classic FF game. Where do you go from here?

Tanaka: FFIV, V and VI have been ported to the GBA. As you have seen FFIII is not a port but more of a remake. In the future, since FFIII has been received pretty well so far, we're actually considering remaking some of the other Final Fantasy games.

I wouldn't mind seeing a 3D version of my favorite titles from the series.
 
I know dude><!! A remake of FFVI!! All those scenes that they can make into 3-D! Especially the Opera scene and when Kefka fuks up the balance of the world. Cmonnnnnnnn SE lol Been waiting for a FFVI remake on Ps2 or Ps3 for 3 years now ><
 
imagine if they remade FFVII. or even simplified/ported, whatever.

PS3, WII, and XB360 wouldn't even get a look in when it came to console sales.

lmfao, Remember when Kefka poisoned the water and killed everyone in Cyan's home? Classic right there. lol See the Phantom train and stuff. Seriously, though. If they put FFVI into a CG movie, I would buy it today. They could sell it for 40-50 bucks and I'd probably still be dumb enough to buy it.

FF Tactics 1 remade and structured would be sweet
 
FFT is fine I think, doesn't need a remake, FF6 being remade would be nice. FF7 is fine too, doesn't need a remake (unless they wanted to remake it and fix the glitches that were in the game and whatnot)

Like item duping with W-Item? INFINITE MEGA ELIXERS GO.
 
My favorite all-time final fantasy bug happened in FF Legend II for gameboy. One of the Worlds is just a huge Maze, when you get there, just double-click the trash-can in your item list over and over and over...you can get 100 STR up potions and AGI potions lol.

Beats farming for skillups anyday :)

it doesn't need a remake, for sure.

but it'd be one hell of a unit shifter.

there's not just that :P appearantly there are glitches with some games at a time when you starta new game you can never level up your limits so they are stuck at level 1 as well as various other glitches I've read about (yet never experienced)
 
I think they should remake ff8 and ff9 for the Psp or the DS. That way a lot of the newer fans of the seires get a chance to try out those 2 games without having to get a ps1. PLus ff9 is the greatest (IMHO) >.>
 
They should remake every FF except 8.

I don't care what system(s) they do it on. Just... every FF but 8.
 
The FFVII remake is already underway, we've known about it for a long time... i'd love to see 6 and tactics redone as well.

For the 80 billionth time, it was a tech demo. The only source "confirming" an actual remake is a single issue of EGM, and only that single issue of EGM. If it were indeed in production, confirmation would not only be more widespread, but from Square-Enix themselves, which is still missing. Basing that assumption off one rag, when theres not even official word from the company holding rights to the game, is pretty lousy.

there's 2 things sony could do to sell the ps3 man...
1. get MGS4 exclusively for the ps3.
2. Get square to remake FFVII exclusively for the ps3.

there, you sold 500 million systems.
