Eh, I always like him more as PLD no matter the version, whether the original SNES FFII, the Chronicles port FFIV(where the DRK retained the dark sword ability) or the GBA FFIV Advance(DRK same as Chronicles), can't wait for FFIV DS though.
Sure Dark Sword was cool, but it kind of tapered off the more you leveled, I think he's better with minor Cure spells and being able to take a helluva beating, but different strokes for different folks, although the DRK in FFIII DS and his Souleater move(basically like Dark Sword, did damage to all enemies and did damage to the DRK) was better than Cecil imo.
