FINAL FANTASY ON NEO GEO?!?!

Yeah, the topic title may seem absurd, but its true! I was looking at some message boards, someone brought it up, none of us believed him, till he showed us a movie clip of the game in action.

I can't believe it, what is Square-Enix thinking porting Final Fantasy XI to the Neo Geo?!?

Those are some decent graphics, but my PC beats those.

lol Yeah that was pretty funny, had me going for the first 5 seconds when they were showing the scenery. I was thinking "Is this for real???", then the rest just had me laughing.

Watching that made me want to go fire up my Neo Geo and play some last blade! I am pretty impressed with that video

Reading some more on it, seems like the Neo Geo will incorparate a "Insert Coin" system, in which players must insert a quarter whenever they wish to log in. Square-Enix is implementing this system in hopes to elminate PT's being formed and then disbanded after 2 fights. If players pay a fee for logging in, then chances are they'll stay online longer.

Also by viewing the movie clip its obivious that the GM class is hidden inside the random selection screen. This new class plays by different rules, instead of the player fighting mobs to gain XP, they need to answer help calls from other players ranging from fish bot accusation to emote harassment and people complaining about spam in the cities, also listening to people accuse other players of running trains, and etc.

No release date has been set, but I assume it will be in September to go together with the Chains of Promithia expansion, I can't wait to see the new changes this will bring!
