Job Ability : Safeguard

He has Thief abilities + Mustadio techs oh and BARRAGE.

Edit: First you need to finish the Fight/CS in Zeltennia. Then you get him by reading the rumors in Gariland, then the theft rumors in Dorter. A fight should start as soon as you try and leave Dorter.

yeah he's freaking nuts, he can equip just about everything, has great abilitys and good speed.

Crap, now I have to buy a PSP again ; ;

Are all the cutscenes actually cutscenes now? No more shuffling through text that I've read a million times?
 
it's about 30 bucks, not a bad price. Or maybe 40, I forget. I just remember it wasn't too bad. Prolly 30.
 
Does anyone else's FFT lag? I noticed the sound starts to soon and finishes while the animation is still going. Also noticed some sounds on certain abilities sound like crap(Using a phoenix down & Shout ability to name a couple). & does anone know ow to fix it. If possible?

Aside from that the game is great. I enjoyed the added fights they included with the port, such as Playing as Delita & fighting Algus(i'm OG) before fighting Elmdore. What i didn't like as that they removed the duplicating glitch(Ragnarok x12 yes please lol) & that you can't steal Elmdore's Genji Armour :nono:. I understand they made this & alot of other items attainable by playing either co-op or vs though. Now to find someone who owns a copy near me to play with (_ _`). I'm gonna go fight adramalech now. Peace!
 
mine lags once in a blue moon but it's rare and it's rarely that big of a deal :P

hehe, I so want to really play co-op but no one here does T.T they need to make it available over the entire internet or something.
 
Anyone have any idea what the Perfect, or at least idle, team is? :3 i have a Mnk/sqr, Drk/Sqr, Sam/mnk, Drg/Mnk and Nin/tim =P

May not be the best but I feel it's very strong, any advice to make my team even stronger so I can beat my friends would be really nice. =P

I don't care about the lag as FF Tactics has finally been brought to UK shores =D

I'm pretty sure there was a program that ran servers that allowed you to play games that didn't have net support over the net, can't recall what it was called, it just required some sort of wireless connection to your router or something along those lines. Used to use it to play Untold Legends online back when I still had a PSP, I'm sure a decent seach might yield results on this, I'll check back to see if anyone comes across it, I'll remember when I read the name, it's perfectly legal too, there's no modding of any sort, it just tricks your connection into acting like an extended connection between PSPs.

On topic: I've gotta save up any buy a PSP again just to get this game, tired of kicking the PS2 around to play FFT XD
 
Hehe, there's far more than FFT. Silent Hill Origins is out and pwnsome, Jeanne d'Arc (I think I spelled that right), FF1-2 if you really want ANOTHER port, Metal Gear Portable Ops, Metal Gear Ac!d, GTA games, etc. It's got so many good games :P I wish I had the money for them all.
 
My dream team(not including attainable npc's) is everyone drk with 2 /mnk 2 /arithmetics. maine has /squire. i put shirahadori so every physical attack misses(some physical attacks go through 100% from behind such as tiamat class mobs tri-attack), Doublehand for uber dmg with excalibers equipped & move +3. i tried vehemance & didn't like it. t basically did the same dmg as doublehand but with a 50% def decrease. i leveled to 99 and mastered all jobs during ch 1 lol. then went straight through the game to enjoy the story at a faster pace.
 
I recently picked this up along with a slim&lite PSP(been meaning to get one a while just didn't have a job at the time), been a long time since I played the psx original but I still haven't lost my touch. Just wish I had more time to play lol, need to pickup JDA as well by Level 5, and Disgaea PSP, good times with the strategy genre heh.
 
I finally remembered the program that allows people to play PSP games via an internet connection when the games only support the wireless connection and don't have a 'net feature:

I used to use this when I played Untold Legends, give it a shot for FFT, I'll be rushing to get back on this as soon as I get a PSP again.

Edit: to use a PSP with this program, you'll need a USB WiFi adaptor or a WiFi card in your PC, the site's FAQs/troubleshooting covers which ones are compatible, the UBS adaptor they say to use even works with the Wii and DS.

Counter uses your equipped weapon, counter tackle just uses tackle.
 
Sorry for the mostly necro, but has anyone seen any of the rare battles like the following?

Supposedly there's a "rare battle" for each map in the game and this is one of them, can anyone confirm/deny this?
 
I have seen that one (died horribly cause I was too weak still and not with my A team :P) and I have seen a samurai one (twice) and that's it so far :P
 
yeah, theres a quite a few unique battles around the various maps, i'm not sure if theres a rare one for every area though. and I think you have to be past a certain point in the game.
