Well, I thoroughly had a good time in going to the FanFestival this year. There was about 30+ people from Quetzalcoatl who showed up.

Mooshywooshy
Ryuza
Candi
Doumoon
Seikatsu
Creamygoodness
Textaz
Iriss
Xiomyu
Xalioniaf
Naotakun
Negikun
Celvantes
Gregedor
Bastilla
Artielang
Liefe
Morari
Hyre
Whitelighter

... and more than I can remember. We all signed our signatures on a piece of paper with the name "Quetzalcoatl" on it. Seikatsu took it home to scan it and upload it into QCDN sometime soon.

Now...

Here's the thing.

I have an ass-load of FFXI FanFest footage.

Sure, you could hear it from a 3rd party and just read some post that was copied and pasted from BlueGartr LS's site...

But if you want to, you can take a look at my footage after I piece it together.

All that's posted in text are the highlights. I got the other stuff that's probably not there. I want you to SEE the Audience's reaction when they said SAM was getting Nerfed... Or... "You will be able to run your own Bazaar Shop out of your own Mog House now!"

Honestly--This is why I wanted you guys to come. To be there when this happened. To socialize. Not to sit huddled over some monitor, reading about it, second-hand. I'd rather it be a social experience with everyone to enjoy.

...

I'm going to weave together all the footage I have.

It's probably going to be over 3+ GB big by the time I'm done.

In the end--I'm probably going to segment the footage and upload it into YouTube and GameTrailers.com

HOWEVER...

I want to know if there is anyone willing to volunteer to help distribute the H.Q. version when I finish slapping it together. I can send it to you when I'm done. (Which will either be tomorrow, or the day after... Hoping for sooner).

Is there anyone who'd be willing to accept the file transfer when I'm ready and take on such a task?

Just curious.

...Also. I got alot of Cosplayer pictures.

Also, awesomeness.

Would've been nice to have gone, I wish I could've went, but too bad it's way to far from where I live in Canada. Sure, I could try to take a passport and stuff, but then that's way too much money.

oo cool
the festival sounded like a lot of fun =) wish i could have gone, hope you enjoyed it!
also, i would like to see that footage and pics =P

whats the merc camp slip??

Special BCNM. Fight against the 5 serpent generals.

...But... Uh... Are there any takers?

I thought it was fanfest onry >.>

If not, I'll volunteer to come get slaughtered:biggrin:

It IS FanFest only. Then so was the Heroes Combat (Vs. the 3 Heroes, Volker of Bastok, Prince Trion of San d'Oria, Ajido-Marujido of Windurst, by using the Cordial Invite at Stellar Fulcrum) at last year's FanFestival.

And after that, Heroines Combat (Same place, but this time, Vs. Ayame of Bastok, Curilla of San d'Oria, Shantotto of Windurst, and Prishe of Tavnazia. by using the Martial Ball invite) at the Japanese FanFest before then.

This year, Mercenary Camp you can fight the 5 Serpent Generals in an Assault-Style BCNM.

Listen--Whenever you complete the Live Quest event at the FanFestival, you get BCNM items as an in-game reward so you can go home and play whenever you want on your character.

Live Quest is a side-event at FanFest. It's like doing an FFXI quest IRL. You need to form a PT with people IRL to do it, and set PT leader. It was Me, Xiomyu, Seikatsu, Creamygoodness, Celvantes, Gregedor, and... uhh... who else.... There was so many people, I forgot. So many people at the FanFest, we actually split into 3 separate Quetzalcoatl PTs and "formed an alliance".

...

But in any case--The problem I may run into is HOSTING the FanFest footage somewhere--Which is why I ask for a volunteer to help with distribution until I can upload it into YouTube and GameTrailers.

Sounds like you had a blast Devi. You better pimp that hat everywhere you go now, make all the Japanese jealous of your mad Mog Skillz.

If you mean on our hard drives, I can hold onto 3gigs of info. I don't have the hosting space for it, but if you just need someone to keep the stuff stored on computer until you need it, I can do that.

Random tidbits I noticed:
Mercenary Camp was running Wings of the Goddess (can check the campaign screen). Hero's/Heroine's Combat wasn't.
Dancer has 190-ish dagger skill at level 60. I didn't catch weather or not it had sword skill.
Scholar has no natural sword skill. The scholars in the tour were subbing red mage.
Scholars have 183 magic skill on all magics before using a grimbookthing. They go up depending on which one you use.
Scholar has a new magic that starts with an A that they showed in the opening address on friday. They didn't have it in the tour.
Scholar learns Cure at level 5 (from the tarutaru marathon where they showed a screenshot of the item).
Cheese sandwich.
I'll have some pictures up later. Right now I just got back from two 2 hour plane rides, I need to lie down x.x;

Who is that (girl?) in the front with the Fuck Bush t-shirt? She is an awesome representitive of the democratic party. Not saying i like Bush or anything, but seriously.

Cool pics, couldn't see half of them though.
