I get the opposite problem because the average age for the people at my school is around 23~ish. Most people seem to think I'm 22 or so. (Don't base that on my profile image; it's at least two years old).
They have really started to enforce it, i work at gamestop now, and if we dont card, not only does the sales person get fired, but the manager of the store.

bullshit, my friend, has a facial fair and is 6'1 tries to buy Jaws Unleashed. Person asked for ID, friend didnt have it, so no game.
yea me and my friend went to see pirates3, and in the same plaza was a small gamestop so we decide to go in. he buys me mgs3 to replace my broken copy. hes the same height as me and a few months younger, but this kid has a full beard, long hair and a moustache that i cant compete with, we just began calling him jesus. so yea i guess they thought he was older. in the beginning of the school year, when he was 15 he tried out for JV baseball, the coach thought he was older and pointed him to varsity, he got his ass kicked in the tryouts lol.
oh but anyway maybe its because in nyc, small gamestop stores have to compete with toys r us, KB toys and blockbuster in the same plaza so they take whatever business they can. if another good M game comes out ill have to try to buy it myself, got to hurry though, gonna be 17 soon.
