#1416 I'd have removed if at all possible even though its the real legit person. This is one of the things discussed earlier where anyone can sign for anyone. (#1400 was the first 'signature' of that name)

#1814 and condolences to your friends.Anyone whose ocming in here and bashing this or spamming, ffxi isn't just meant to be a video game. It's an online community. We want our rights protected and governed responsibly. We want to feel that we aren't taking money out of our paychecks and hours out of our days and giving them away for free. It's not something you should take lightly yourselves. How can we continue to show loyalty to Square-Enix and this online community, if we, in return, aren't promised respect in return. It's disrespectful to everyone who is playing, even to those who are ignorant or oblivious to the fact, when we don't share an understanding that almost any paid service promises. That as a consumer-producer relationship, we promise to pay them regularly for their services, and in exchange they promise to protect our services and see that they are well established at all times.Slight example: Xbox live's end user agreement was violated when they're services went down early this year, because of an overabundance of new sign-ups after the holiday's. They couldn't maintain their services continuously, and some of xbox live's community took all of that community's best interests and saw that they were reimbursed. Some may say they were just greedy in their act of sueing microsoft, but how must anyone feel when they are constantly being disconnected, or unable to connect to xbox live?

I had the same similar experience with WoW, where my brother and i registered our accounts under different names and we were unable to transfer characters onto one account DESPITE using the same credit card to pay for both. its quite infuriating. i ended up having to buy another WoW cdkey.
anyways, an easy way companies should use is to call and give the credit card that was used to pay for a majority of the time, proving ownership. the only thing is that it could backfire for those who sell their accounts and they could then go around and take it back, scamming the buyer, but then again it would serve the person right for being lazy

The petition is gonna be send??? They are horrible I agree. I got my account december 2007 and it was a gift from my boyfriend. Now every time I call I have to give his name and all my information, lol, good thing we have the same info only the name differs
I Been hack twice and I twice I got my account back and not because of SE, but my friends, they stood up for me inside and outside the game to help me get it back. We found out it was a linkshell member who was always bragging that he knew how to hack people that play in laptops and he was trying to get a RDM 75 / RNG 75 account. I guess he tried to hack my bf since he has both jobs on 75, but since he couldnt, he hack mine and ask my bf to trade him, his account for mine. He always used mules to speak, but they were all similar. His Name was Kingdragon and his mules were babydragon, dragonlord, babykitty, lilking, etc. Little bit to obvious right.
He even gave my bf his phone # to speak, but he wasnt expecting to speak with a lawyer and I guess he got scared or something. He never gave it back, but he stop using it and i was able to call That stupid company SE and change the password succesfully. I got hacked on a saturday and couldnt play again till monday, like u say, GMs they shouldnt even get paid, good for nothing
