Hello everyone. After a long persuassion fight with my dad, I've finally convinced him to get me a new computer so I can play Final Fantasy XI, and I'm giving this one to my sisters.

I'm not new to FFXI itself, I've played quite a bit at my cousin's house. But I am very new to computer gaming, I've always just used computers for internet, school, and chatting. I'm not a total moron with computers, but I don't know what to stay away from and what to get.

So if anyone could just give me a few tips here and there, I would be very grateful.

Here is the computer and its specs. NOTE: Go to the customization screen and change these settings: Hard Drive: 160 GB, HP vs17c 17" LCD Flat-Panel Monitor, and there is exactly what I am getting.

I put the moniter in there to simply get your opinion on it. Is that a good moniter size to play FFXI With?

I'd also like to note that I am on a pretty strict budget with money. So $889 is about the highest I can go.

Thank you in advance.

I looked at it, it isn't bad. I'd recommend that once you buy it, go to a place like Memory Express, or a specialty computer store and buy another stick of 512ram for a reasonable price. On that site to add another stick was $110, thats abit steep. Just ask them if its compatible with your motherboard and all that jazz. 512 will do, but 1gig is well twice as good

Awesome, thats a relief. I was afraid you'll say that I can't play jack with that computer. Yeah, I was going to get the 1 GB but I figured I could get something cheaper, but the 512 will have to do for now. Thanks alot for the information.

Once you do get in and stuff, make a RDM taru with a Subligar. Guaranteed to bring you thw worst luck ever and 0 fame in starting nations even at lvl 66.
