"find members" search

I never understood why SE changed that search...
I mean... how its useless... I got so many blind invites by noob players because they think we can make a good exp PT, because the "find members" search put my name on the search results...

am I the only one missing the old "find members" search?

is there a way to contact SE to change it again?
 
How did they change it? Does it no longer limit searches to people within 1-2 levels of yourself in the same area?
 
Does people with in same area FLG 1-75
i never uses it i did
/sea all 37-39 if i was 38 etc
 
I think it is one of the silliest changes SE made. I have yet to figure out the point of showing everyone in a zone LFG, and it makes things harder for the new players to understand.

That would have been a good question for the Fan Fest. "Can you please tell us why you F--ked up the find member function, and what the hell we're supposed to do with it now?"
 
I never used 'find members' to begin with.

I just do /sea <enter lvl range>. Then I just go through each zone where ptys are usually formed.

If i'm building a pty, then i do /sea all <lvl range> <job type>

'Find members' has always be inefficient in my eyes.

Nope, now it will list anyone in your current region who is lfg, regardless of level. You either have to do find members > all areas > level range, then input the range you are seeking, or do a /sea all inv level range.

I agree with most everyone here, they made find members virtually useless.

Edit: Brin, find members used to actually do just about the same thing as /sea inv, and when you set the search perameter to all areas it was the equivalent of /sea all your level range, and it didn't require that you keep typing /sea all inv over and over again.
 
Do:

/sea all <job> <set level range> inv

I used this even when the old /search was in motion.

EDIT: The "inv" will limit your /search to players looking for PTs at the moment.
 
yea... I also use /sea all...
but the "find members" function now has no use...
 
Agreed. I miss the old search too ^^;
 
I used to use the "Find member" function once in a while in jeuno if I was lazy, but since they changed it I haven't even touched it.
 
If you look through some of the old updates, you'll see that at one time they changed it from the current systems to the one they had before, where it'd only searing from 1-2 levels. Wonder why they changed it back...

this is what I use all the time cause then it brings up all of the people
lfg, then it is just a matter of narrowing it down.
