Firefighters = Mercenaries only - Pay to spray?

Ouch, that seems like a greater evil Cheebs, but you also gotta remember that legislating this, enacting the change, and then enforcing it also cost additional money. Chances are this rule was set in place the way it was because it was also cost effective.

I can't imagine the number of fires they'd need to respond to would be that great to cause such concern in additional costs. The few they need to over the course of X number of years would more than likely result in bills being paid (I assume), and if not than tackling the outstanding fees and revisiting the notion of removing all services. There's always a way.

Let me rephrase. If she doesn't press charges the county/state will. Either way he's going to jail and he's going to get prosecuted. It's not an optional arrest.

The arrest means diddly shit if she doesn't press charges. He will just get out the following day and return home to do it again. I'll agree with you that some states do press charges regardless of the wife/girlfriend/whatever's participation, but without her testimony they really dont have much of a case. Anyways we are getting off topic here.

Thats not what I meant cheebs :) I mean actually getting the information out to residents of said neighboring county, getting ballots printed out to vote on the measure, and if it is passed, keeping this rule enforced (taking people to court for not paying, levying fees, jailing them, confiscating property, etc) all costs money and additional man-power that they probably dont have.
