I don't post rl stuff often, but this made me happy enough to hit the "new post" button. After patiently waiting a few years so that I'd be not-broke enough to buy a car, I went out and did. I saw this on a used-car dealerships website while looking at cars with my father (as he is the car buff of the family), and I felt drawn to it for some reason, I dunno why. Went and looked at it, affirmed that this wasn't a clunker/wreak, test drove it (I had an easier time shifting this than a ford focus oddly enough)

Sitting in the driveway. (the rock is under the back tire as this was taken before the emergency brake cable was replaced)
As of..oh 20 minutes ago, I picked it up from being certified and e-tested (as I bought it as is)
It's a 5 speed 1993 Saab 900 turbo. And for being a 1993 car with 270k kilos on it, it's in fantastic shape. Picked it up for just over one grand, and after $449 for winter tires (Canada winters, the reason why is obvious) and $1,306 for repairs its finally legal to drive. Huzzah~
And it only costs me $107/month to insure, which is pretty good considering I fall in the 21-25 male category, and it's a more sports-type car.
So; in summary: WOOT
