Ok I don't want to go diving blindly into an mmo, and I know it's been out for like a day. I have heard it's awesome from my sister in laws brother as he got the special edition of Warhammer so he got to beta the game. I just kinda want more opinions on the game from people I can trust that have played more than 1 mmo in their time. I see the screens, and the game looks pretty good.

The game is a blast to play :) I would recommend taking a peek at this thread for some better ideas about the overall game play. http://www.qcdn.org/ffxi/showthread.php?t=63640

thanks for the link reya. now time to figure out if my laptop can run warhammer.

-_- Nothing like finding out you meet minimum requirements except in one aspect being .5 a gigahert short of the 2.5.

I run this game on my laptop and it runs very smooth. I will have to say that during the beta I would get some horrible graphic glitches and lag. Iaredrew worked with me over vent and helped me DL some drivers which really did the trick. Now that I am playing the copy of the game I purchased, everything has been smooth sailing. I am running it on a dv9608nr Notebook :) Hope this helps!

I'm running on a dv6000 notebook. What I'm going to do first is next time I go see my brother in Iowa or he comes here I'll have him bring his copy to test the game before purchasing it.

I don't plan to replace drivers since last time I did that with a laptop it gave me nothing but problems that involved a complete restore of Windows to get my default drivers.

So far I really like the game play, one thing that bugs the shit out of me however, is when you enter an area, or RVR starts (example), HUGE GYNORMOUS letters pop up on screen and that, for me at least, makes it difficult to keep track of what order players are ahead laying in wait to poke my poor squishy scorceress full of holes ; ;

One more thing, has anyone else noticed how other players are more about taking care of themselves than the team? Maybe I was spoiled playing FFXI all these years, but it seems like the team play is slim to none so far. Granted, its only been launched for a few days so maybe people just haven't figured out how to work as a team yet >.>;

I think it just depends. My guild and I do RvR Scenarios and Keep Raids and really work well together. A few of us are on vent so it helps with coordinating things. I also have to say that on my server overall that Order outplays Destruction in every RvR scenario I have played. We also own many of the T1 and T2 Keeps. I've seen in the past us (Order) do things like box an enemy in so that could not escape, block passage ways and have our healers, nukers and archers take higher elevated terrain.

You have to communicate is the big thing. Most people run around playing the quiet game, but are willing to listen if you have a plan.

You can play with me brotha :awesome:

I've only played for about an hour, but so far it seems alright. I can't figure out how to do the 'sequence' quests, though. I click the queue button but then nothing happens.

I've tried a Marauder and one of the shooty guys (the gnome one). I don't know who I'm going to keep leveling yet.

I had an Order character that I play with Tubuku and Cyruktion, and I have a Destruction character that I play with Lucki, Jayce, and Tubuku. :awesome:

Jayce doesn't play WAR.

Jayce doesn't play WAR.

Yea, it's only a rumor that he has a character on our server and will play with us "eventually." Till we see it, It's just me and Lucki. Kicking ass and takin' names baby

Goblin not Gnome ;). Scenarios you have to wait for enough people to sign up, then you'll get a Join, Join in a minute and Leave queue button.

Been messing with the UI on my Black Orc, this is my new main, 500+ queues when me and Chii want to play on my "main" server is a joke. We're on a login queueless, quick scenario queue server now.

NB. I look weird because I was using Hold the Line to show Chii the zBuffBars mod.

I fail to understand why people keep swamping a few select servers, to be honest. Between the screens telling you "this server is full, you really don't want to come here" to the obvious queue lines waiting to get in, you'd think people would take the hint and accept that maybe they'll have to play with their friends on another server. Reya and I had originally considered playing on the Volkmar, for example, but we took one look at the already existing population just from the CE headstart and said "screw that."
