You used my tutorial on lineart? o.o;;
Aww, I never thought anyone would of read up on that, i'm glad to see that someone did
As for the blur effect, I actually like that style. It gives it a very soft feel and if you were to add say a blurred backround (maybe a garden, forest etc) and also give it a blurred effect, you would make the image look like it was in a dream, which I think would look very neat.
You're doing great with the choice on color, and the overall coloring is great. I notice that in your new pic, you've either played with gradients a little or you are trying some shading because it seems that there are different colors, like on the hood... I see a more intense darker orange, so looks like you might be experimenting. I say if that's what you're doing, go crazy. You can't go wrong with trying methods to find what you might like as your shading style. just make sure that once you've colored your image, that you save the file as .psd and then create new layers for the "shadows" and the "highlights" and play around until you get something you like, and post your results!
Funny thing is that after having seen you do this work, I ended up getting my inspiration to CG again and started on some lineart on a pic I drew up almost a year ago. Hopefully I can post that if I ever complete it, but i'm sooo rusty considering I haven't picked up a pencil in a year x_x;;
Keep up the good stuff
