First Vrtra aboveground-- Now Tiamat's in the tunnels?! In-Game Glitch!

yeah, reading the thread--- it could have gotten there from some POS flee hacking....

vrtra spawning up top would make sense since its the same location, just above ground.. but the tiamat thing doesnt really work with that theory.

It's almost always done by POS hacking to a spot above ground and having them follow you up there. Thing with vrtra is theres no actual way for her to get back down so she sorta camps the spook spawn area (ish) looking for newbies to rape and pillage.

Yeah ben said about that ttu on msn ^^;

if a member of the party fighting it ran away while the party was still fighting and wiped.. I can see it getting very far down the tunnels to chase.

Except it would just draw that person in.

lol..not if they got far enough away. I know its reaching, but I can see people surviving or at least getting really far into the tunnels if the others kept Tiamat entertained long enough before they died. Draw in isnt exactly zone-wide, and the path there is pretty curvy.

King Vinegarroon can Draw in from anywhere around West Alteppa, the entire alliance too though - KV is unique like that.

Not sure about other monsters, but I believe Draw-In is triggered. Like trying to bring Fafhogg outside of it's pit.

I'm willing to bet Tiamat draws in once you pass outside of his spawn area. Though it'd be pretty cool if the chasym was actually meant to be an area to fight him - which could possibly even give an entire new meaning to "the ledge".

Draw in have any cast time? maybe a bot was used to stun or something?

I did not know that. I would hazard a hypothesis that the tunnel/ledge region between the tiamat/corpse area and the mountain might be different, based upon the evidence. The "you cannot see the <t>" factor when you're in front of a pillar (something that protected me from Astral Flow on Kirin btw). Of course.. if I'm wrong, it would be interesting to see a bunch of people running for the zone dissapear all of a sudden. But if I'm right, maybe it might make it easier to fight outside of the agro of that other region? (I've never fought dragons before, so I know nothing of dragon tactics outside of the other HNM experiences) I mean.. Tiamat has a lot of fire crystals to be had..

To my understanding, there's one way to do it, outside of third-party tools.

Pet pull. Seems that using a pet to pull can avoid the draw-in, meaning that a very determined BST/SMN can pull just about anything, anywhere... Except KV, because he just draws in everyone.

I thought they patched that @.@

Depends where you tell the pet to come back. Get outside aggro range, shed any aggro you may have gotten, and it should work. BST, feel free to correct me. o.o

Patched.
And tiamat will draw you in anywhere from the zone if you have hate.

Warp hax are the only way that could've happened.

Yeah if it aint in its place its all haxz right?

A mob pathing in its spawn area and its pathing area is much different than a mob that draws in being on the entire other side of the map.

A NM that teleports YOU to it instead of running after you is a completely different thing from a sheep that walks into a bush because it drank some beer.
