Despite a majority's apathetic attitude toward whether or not botting occurs @ kings, it nice to feel vindicated in knowing that suspicions are true. It is a topic that is a dead horse for most LS' and servers, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter or has no basis for being posted.

AFAIK a majority of the bigger HNMLS besides WGC all openly frown upon botting or those types of 3rd party tools. There is also no real animosity that results in constant heckling or MPK attempts that have become increasingly common among. Prior to WGC's inception, those sorts of things were rather rare or limited to very specific shells or individuals. I would contend that there is a relatively low amount of botting that goes on compared to such servers as Hades or Unicorn. Its actually quite comparatively clean and could be much worse. While I don't think ignoring it would be akin to fostering the broken window syndrome, I do agree with Tyrath in that to see WGC openly condone it and encourage it really speaks for the integrity of that shell.

Those post also reflect their need to learn proper grammar.

QFT. Well, I think this pretty much sums up most of what I would have liked to say, there pretty much isn't much anyone who has said that is wrong in this thread thus far. Botting is bad, but the enjoyment factor is gone unless WBC actually responds which is pretty much a guaranteed no. It's still very much a shitty deal, but the chances of anything promising coming out of this are slim to none since SE leaves us with little options to rid us of our own problems and are instead left to rely entirely on their own incapable hands.

Jamal, while it not be entirely vindicating in just knowing they bot, some can find solace in the fact that they've been outted. We can at least find some comfort that maybe some of the more legitimate and respectable players will leave the shell weakening it or perhaps SE will eventually rid us of the problem (small chance, but one can hope).

If I had to pull a guestimate out of my head for the number of people who have posted in this topic that have botted/continue to bot in secret I would probably guess at least 1 in 5 posters fit the bill. If I had to guess how many have benefitted from botting at some point in their ffxi career, I'd guess 9 in 10.

Difference is most of us are completely unaware of the cheaters around us because it's less than obvious. But you should know that all too well, right?

Exactly Morwen, I can see why he left when the two people that could tolerate talking to him quit playing. A lot of people coming on here adding nothing to the thread, just being jackasses.

On topic, we all know and can easily see people that are in WeBotClaim, and by this being common knowledge we can make the decision to not do things with them in game, whether it be party, help with pop NM's, missions, or join their LS. I always feel people have the right to make informed decisions. I often don't do certain things because of certain people being involved, as I'm sure most everyone does.

I know there are people in WBC that have seen this thread as well, and have informed their shell, shell leaders, etc... I hope you read this you fucking degenerate idiots, and have an ounce of honor and integrity left to defend yourselves or at least admit your shameful actions.

It's understandable that for those that have been playing for a while when hearing <insert LS> bots is no biggie. On the other hand, for players like myself that have been here for around 4 months, this is good information when contemplating endgame and all the different shells there are.

When I'm in WG or just out and about and I see people wearing Homam, Adaberk, Relics, etc I like to check them and see what shell they are in. The only bit of info I can gather about all of the different shells is from sites like QCDN, BG, etc or ask my friends and my linkshell. And the answer you receive is really a matter of peoples opinions unless there is hard proof or a specific story describing why <insert LS> is good or bad.

I would like to join a HNM shell eventually. Something I think of is people get extremely down on players when they are in a known "bad" shell like WBC that bots and mpk's to get advantages. And as stated before, some people will not help you purposely if your in a known bad shell.

So, for a newer player like myself, how would I even know which shell is deemed acceptable so I don't get outcasted by my peers because I might not be informed?

As someone who does not do HNMs and does not 'roll' in the most elite endgame LS, I found the information to be helpful should I ever decide to try and do HNMs. I will honestly admit I know 0 about HNMs and HNMs shells and am glad someone postd this information. I understand this is 'OLD' news and 'UNWORTHY' news to some people who always post 'wow this is worthless stop posting this shit.' But I am willing to wager there are a lot of people like me who mostly read, dont post often and are glad for the informative posts about which shells to avoid should 'we' decide to join HNMs. Some people have done HNMs for so long they automatically assume everyone has the knowledge level about the shells, bots, etc and post worthless post (i.e. everyone already knows this, you suck for posting it - paraphrased) in what they deem is a worthless thread. Instead of trying to be cool by belittling other people over things you consider unworthy, realize there are HNM nooblets like me who finds this info helpful.

While I agree with what your saying it still can be considered just a matter of opinion. I've been told by multiple people that Kaizen is deemed the most respected endgame shell on Quetzy. I've also been told they are a bunch of egotistical jerks and they'd never join Kaizen.

I'm just trying to say, for newer players these types of threads to us are helpful.

every hnm shell thinks every other hnm shell bots, most likely because they do. so your best would be to stop worrying about what people who are jealous, because they wish they could claim, think. or join a shell that is exclusive to sky and/or sea.

The reason Elemmire was singled out is the extraordinary degree of arrogance and self superiority in their posts compared to the others.

As for whether or not this post is helping anything, contrary to popular belief (among people who do HNM), there are many people who don't put the extra effort in to finding out about these shells. The last few posts also showed this, as we all have known about WBC for a long time, these people did not.

Saying everyone in WeBotClaim are scumbbags is unfair since I know some cool people in there who probably didn't know about this. On the flipside, anyone who stays in the shell after this is just as bad as the botters.
