Flame of the Year 2008

Another thing people were unclear about. Someone took these pics and gave them to a few people and asked to keep there identy secret. Then those people passed those pics on, I even recieved them in my email. Only a few people Know who took the SS of the forum, and that person who did is not in WeBotClaim anymore.

See the above (bolded, just in case you were wondering). A plural of the singular word 'person' is used, which would indicate that I was referring to more than one. Mull that one over in your head for a few moments.

I will and can ignore anyone, I do that with quite a few people on these boards. I ranted at Elemmire because he kept wanting to turn it into a 'You're stupid, stupidhead!' 'NO U' bullshit argument because he wants to feel apart of something. I say he should go bitch about books in the TV threads to do that, but should he so wish to make an ass of himself on the FB he should very well expect someone to say something. I did, and now you have an issue with it. No one should be coming into this thread like 'Lawl2005' at all. This didn't happen a few years ago, this happened now. I will say again, people just want to where this information came from and what the hell this is supposed to start (aside from a bunch of FB vultures coming in and trying to pick fights with everyone).

Darby, that's a tad hypocritical since that was my advice twoards your situation with the Medicineman and the KA experience a few months back.

The sad and completely expected reality is that games reflect real-life. You think backstabbing, stealing, and undermining of systems doesn't occur in normal life?

Far more often than not, those in the most powerful positions got there because of one too many 'little white lies'.

To think otherwise is completely naïve.

It is really really sad, that people have to cheat. This is not GTA, though its just a game, but using bots to claim all the time and get your gear, takes the challenge and ultimately the fun out of the game.

They say they need to bot so they don't "waste 3 hours" Ok guys but fuck everyone else who was there playing fairly, really shows your character.

I doubt that I need to tell anyone that I don't bot, nor do I condone it. I just took exception to the "Deal with it" remark, as these same people who choose not to "deal with it" ingame are likely the dickheads in real life who choose not to "deal with it" when someone more qualified for say, a job promotion/offer are a shoe-in, and they resort to bribery/sexual favors/etc. to get said promotion.

It's sad to be sure; but, like I said previously, games, like art, imitate life :|

For me it is a personal type of vindication in that it justifies my feeling about them. Yes it doesn't really change anything in the big picture as a majority has always suspected it and WGC has never denied it, but personally I feel much more at ease criticizing or judging their actions knowing that there is factual basis.

Theres a chance nothing will change, if they were openly speaking about Bots on there forum which shows their intellegence, since almost ANYONE can join that shell. They probably don't give a fuck about there reputation.

I have had several friends that joined WBC (not mentioning anyone in particular), and most of them were already of questionable character. After the joined, I felt like they really changed, so I feel justified in calling them that. You may have friends in there you don't look at that way, idk, but in my opinion, every single person I've seen in there is a scumbag...

It's not just their cut throat willingness to do anything and everything, at the expense of other players, to better themselves. It's also their arrogance and overall mediocrity in playing their jobs that really gets to me. Good gear does not in any way equal skill, as anyone can get good gear.

In particular I think of a party I had with Mikeman right after he got D. ring, and every fucking minute he was talking about his gear, trying to brag and shit. I wanted to slit my wrists in that party, I can't stand that shit. Other similar situations have happened with other members, though their exact names I don't remember. It's just really annoying, like they see nothing else i this game besides gear and looking pretty. They need to learn how to play before they go for that gear, maybe they wouldn't of died on Khimaira with 40 people if they got their priorities straight.

OBVIOUSLY I'm agreeing with people saying this is an old style flame, obviously I have agreed with several people around the forum if you really wanted to take a look. But granted, I am most "loud" when not agreeing, as most people are. When you don't agree with something you're probably going to be louder about it than talking about something you and another agree with. But, do not think for a second you know a DAMN how I think. You have no idea who I am, what I'm like, what my life is like or anything about me really. No one on this forum even knows what gender I am exactly >.> and I'd rather keep it that way. And, incase any of you are so inclined to know, those who quit that were my friends are those I know IN REAL LIFE so I was kinda like "meh" but we still (and still do) hang out in real life. So it's not "the two people who could stand her quit and so did she" it's more like "it wasn't fun playing without my friends so screw this game" and so we decided to come back.

And yes, Audino, my wording was off, sorry about that, what I meant to say was "Do I need to some how make it clearer to you?" Do realize when I posted that, for me, it was, what..6:30am? I just woke up not long before and so was still in my waking phase. But anyways, I have to go to my next class. If you all wanna keep arguing and bitching about shit that I "think" that you some how know than feel free. I don't care all that much but if you're going to be as arrogant as Trist above than I'll come back and point out you're an idiot for thinking you know how I think.

Congratulations, folks! We've seen in one post the "The People who Quit so I quit are my Real Life Friends" defense, the "You're arrogant if you think you know how I think" defense, and the "Haha, I'm more mysterious than you are because you don't know what's between my legs" defense.

For the first, and saddest defense:

Nobody cares if they were/are/will ever be your real life friends. I have a few real life friends that have quit, come back, and quit again and here I am, still playing. NOBODY GIVES A SHIT. You decided to come back on a "meh" pretense, so it shows that you aren't even playing for fun...just to have something to do evidently.



For the second defense:

I don't pretend to know how you think. However, if you portray a "mightier than thou" attitude as is the norm from you, and you had best expect more than one arrogant one (as seen from me, Audino, and Morwen) in return. It's not just in the vein of this thread, it is in every single fucking thing you post. As Grem, Eleibfrid, and countless others have said before: GREAT. You have opinions on everything. Shut up.

For the third defense, and for why it has any relevance to this discussion:

I could care less if you are man, woman, tranny, or poser, and it has ZERO relevance to the entire line of thought here. Bottom line is, that I know there's at least some intelligence on the other end of the Cat5e since you're able to interpret Earthling characters and formulate some sort of response to them. That's enough for me.

And in case you were wondering, I duly noted s/he as a catchall since English doesn't have a gender-neutral pronoun other than "it". I did it out of courtesy to you as I don't like to refer to other humans as "its". If you want me to change the policy, please let me know.

There are 1577 accounts on this forum, of those maybe 80 of them are current uses, and about 25 that are active users. There are new people that come on these forums ever day and most do not know a lick about anything that goes on out there normal routine. This is a in game issue and a pretty big one at that. so valid argument, yes it is. (Also unless they knew this argument before hand they would not know what to search.) While I would agree the title is not fitting for the thread, does not make the content any less worthless.

Instead of whining about how worthless this thread is why don't you (by you meaning the ones effected by the issue) try to think of ways to correct the issue. I know you sent a GM a tell. Nothing happen. If everyone sends a gm request every time they bot with the correct information and keep a cool head; sooner or later they will do something. Yes it a slow process, but it the only option there is. OMG they bot, we can't do anything about it lets just roll over and hope they wipe; will only go so far.

Anyway, on point. I didn't say it was a bad thread, just mistitled. People jumped at me for saying I was attacking the thread, when all I asked for was to find out who the rat was. For those who FOLLOW the board, that is more interesting information.
