Flameboard is gone! Finally, a board without having to deal with people trashing your name badly :) I just thought this deserved a spot on the goodtimes section, due to its especially great effect it will be on the forum. thank you Sculli

True strike :D

Congrats Sculli on this positive move :)

I personally think most will regret the change. Hopefully it helps, but I only forsee trolls in other categories.

This may be a mini flameboard.. but it will not be as bad.. cause if Sculli thinks it doesn't belong, it will be locked or deleted.. Plus the flameboard dragged a lot of people down with it... So, this is actually a fantastic move on Sculli's part.

this isn't necessarily a bad thing. there really weren't any genuinely innocent people that got a trashed rep because of the flameboard.

some people were getting flamed due to knowing someone though... ive seen people get flamed for being in the same LS as someone else...

The problem with the flameboard is with a lot of the frequent users, it became more like a witchhunt, which is the type of thing you'd most like to avoid in ANY community.

Good riddance, and maybe people can actually resolve things on their own now or learn to just move on with their gaming lives.

I semi-agree...while I hated seeing people flaming certain others just for the sake of doing so, it was kindof nice to get heads-ups oncertain things (like people who D2 others for no reason or disband the second the level, and misc. stuff like that)

If you hire a person to do a job and they screw you over and they belong to a linkshell that has high reputation on the server then i would inform the ls leader of the situation and if the ls lead tells me its my problem then i have no problem flaming that ls.

I, for one, will miss the flame board <.<; It was good entertainment during boring classes and long breaks, and random boring times /cry

I agree.

I however have high hopes the the "debate forum" (or whatever it is going to be called) will take the place of the flameboard and will provide the same entertainment only with alot less of the crap that filled it, from illiterate posters, immature children, and just generally from pointless flames.

I'm pretty positive this doesn't exactly fit in with the general theme of this thread but hers to a newer better place for discovering assholes.

Well FB, We'll miss ya.

/em raises a pint to the goode olde flameboard

Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish Ladies
Farewell and adieu to you ladies of Spain
For we've received orders
For to sail back to Boston
and never more shall we
see thee again.

The Flameboard section of this forum was only worthwhile maybe, maybe, once a month... I say good riddance.

The idea of the Flameboard was that if you didn't like it, you didn't have to read it. So I rarely, if ever, participated there. The high levels of profanity just rubs me the wrong way, and the amount of insensitivity there just made my skin crawl.

But at the same time, I know there were some halfway decent discussions in between all the spam and pointless flames. I'm really looking forward to seeing these discussions taking place in the normal forums now, where I can particpate more and offer an intelligent opinion as best I can.
