So sex still pays the bills? Sex fixes the fact that this guy was putting games over everything else? Yeah sure he stops playing for an hour, but what is he going to do right after he's done? Jesus sex is only a temporary fix to the problems, and it really shows how mature you are Make that you think it would be the be all end all fix to real under lying problems.
You cannot be serious...There is no need to bring in their sex life into the article. What relavence is there? They forgot to mention that maybe she was bad at sex or the dude was gay. Because just like any other specifies, humans, men in general, are fuck machines. So if she was good, they would have atleast spent an hr banging everyday.
The only think I have a gripe about that article is that it was only one-sided and only conveyed one message: MMOs are evil.I don't think that anyone was implying that the guy was perfectly right to have neglected his wife over a MMO nor that the girl was wrong for leaving, rather I think the reaction was more towards the current trend of conveniently blaming video games and MMOs for everything that goes wrong in life... (not that I am saying it's fine to be addicted to video games or MMOs)
The only thing I have a gripe about that article is that it was only one-sided and only conveyed one message: MMOs are evil.
What's even worse is that the wife did not say she did anything to really save the marriage.
30 minutes watching TV together is hardly what I would call a step to saving marriage.
That's all that she did mention really.
Yes, she is a real person. Yes, she should have been more important to the husband than a game. He made wrong decisions. They should have worked together to make some things better for them but they didn't. If she loved him, she would have intervened.
I really don't know what else to say as I only read the last few posts.

While she would want to watch TV together, he wanted to play WoW. This fact bothered her and yet she just kept on letting him slip with his responsibilities.
In the end, she walked out on him.
Where was the fight to keep it together? Did she put up a fight for it?
I saw nothing of the sort. Yet she blames the game for ruining their marriage.
If she did nothing to work on saving their marriage then she should not blame it entirely on MMOs.

They're both completely at fault here, like many have stated before me. There is no reason to envelop yourself into a video game (or any other such hobby) as completely as this woman's husband did. That would hold true even if said partner actually included themselves in the hobby, I'm sure someone can dig up the WoW news article where two parents were arrested for neglecting their children for raids to go along with that. And for you gentlemen saying that she must have been 'bad in bed', sex doesn't solve everything. You can be bad in bed or phenominal and your boyfriend is still going to want to bump uglies. Damn near everyones seen the Paris Hilton video and she's a dead fish. People are still sticking it to her too.
People don't take the disclaimers seriously at the log-in screens. Sometimes, I think the companies like Blizzard and SE are hoping you don't take them seriously and play your ass off. What I'm tired of seeing are all the people blaming their, or their loved ones, natural laziness on a videogame they so happened to choose to pass their time with. Lady its not our fault your husbands a fucking lout or you're too much of a nag to get his attention the way you want it. Nor is it our fault that someones kid is morbidly obese sitting in momma's basement surrounded in Cheeto's bags she bought for him and Dr. Pepper cans with a musical number going going on under his bed by the entire cast of Joe's Apartment (cockroaches, people).
Suck it up and take responsibility for being a parent relying on video-games to babysit your kid so you can go to Pilates class or for you choosing a shitty husband/wife. Do it on your own time and stop alerting the media to the 'epidemic' of video games when its really just you and your family being idiots.
You are still failing to realize that the guy, in this equation, only has to do the banging. Everyone has different values assigned to different things. Some people are completely in love with Burger King over where i think its even worse than McDonalds. The same can be said with sex. Some people choose to never have sex, while some people are addicted to it.
I don't see how you can even talk about maturity anyways Romper, trying to be the new hypocrite on the site or something?
To bad he only quit FFXI and not QCDN too eh?
Well if you want to say that a good fucking will fix every problem in a relationship I'm going to point out to you that the female wont think that way even if she has a raging libido.
Sorry that I look past this as a fucking problem. You could be right that this guy just needed one good fucking to get his mind set back on track, but what are the chances of that happening?
Did you seriously just try to compare marital, to a further extent personality, problems to choices over which fast food restaurant is better?
Some people will take sex, while some people choose to abstain from it for their entire lives.
Says the man who can only get a gf over a game on the internet.
It might just be me, but I think these people are the reason we have wars and psychopaths.
And priests, but they haven't started a good ol' fashioned war in a few hundred years.
Doesn't make them any less crazy, though.

because you obviously know me IRL. ^^.
You don't know a damn thing about me IRL.
After 410 days I officially decided enough was enough. Sometime next month I will be quitting the game. No I wont be coming back,
