Please don't macro it.....I don't need to know you are using it. I can see/hear that you used it... please ; ;

err, dont macro a /s or /p in there. Macro is fine, just dont need to tell everyone you are doing so

Others things that I just don't care to know you're using:
- Third Eye
- Boost
And for the love of dog, don't have a /say or /em in your fishing macro.

:evil:

I like my flee macro.

/s Tag your it!
/ja "Flee"<me>

honestly doesnt seem so bad since everyone has some sort of custom emote or macro for every damn ability and situation they my come into.

ex:

/p Eating Meat Mithkabob
/item "meat mithkabob"<me>

my comment: thank you very much now we can watch you eat that piece of tasty meat on a stick and pray to god you choke and die on it.

or even macro's for disbanding parties..... but flee it's great

I used to have a Ranma reference with my Flee macro, but now there's nothing. It got really embarassing saying two lines of text that know one understood.

You mean the "School of anything goes final attack" ?

How does a macro that can only be used a MAX of every five minutes warrant a complaint? And who the hell are you partying with that actually USES Flee every five minutes? I'd say you have much bigger problems than what someone says in their macro then.

Reasons why I have a /p in my Flee macro:

If you are camping NMs or whatnot, the /p is an instant warning to your hunting partner that you've spotted the NM on widescan or on screen.

If you have a bad pull and the party is all like "Let's run!!", "Should we run?!?" , "ZONE?!?!?!?", then my Flee macro let's them know I'M sure as hell getting out of there.

I'm talking XP PT..

And yes, Flee isn't the biggest problem. The main 2 are

Boost
Third Eye

Honestly, I don't care to know when you used Boost, as long as you use it right (and I'd watch to find that out)

And of course the NIN tank that has a /s or a /p for EVERY time he casts....gets damn annoying, fast.

Maybe I am not a big fan of random macros that don't add anything to a pt, or I just don't care to know when you flee (when I hear and see it when you do -_-)

If you want a cute macro but feel stupid having it in /p put it in /echo. I have a lot of macros in /echo because *I* want to see the cutesy mssg or the important information but no one else needs to.

so my speedy-fish flee macro is like this:

/echo ~~~~~~~~~---------->l))'>

for actual fishing i use echo too:

/echo <'))l<
/wait 14
/fish
/echo >'}}l<

It makes fishing more bearable with cute little emote fish ^^;;

i partied once with a bard who had 1-2 lines of Monty Python Quotes on every single one of his macros. :shock: I actually black listed him for the majority of the time and ask the blm to send me a /t if the bard started talking to me. Personally, i don't think people should text in their macros unless it is vital information to the party, especially in an exp party. (pulls, weapon skills, ect)

I remember someone said that they knew a BST who had macroed "CARE BEAR STARE" as their charm macro, LOL, I find that hilarious. Somone else I think had "Ludicrious speed!" (Spaceballs reference) as their flee macro.

Only thing I have macroed in PT chat is my /ra pulling macro, WS macros, and current HP/MP/TP macro. I used to have SATA macro annoucing it was ready, but then I figured, just activating it should let them know I'm ready.

I limit my ghey humor to /echo.
My fishing macro includes a couple echos.

1st one goes off around 35 seconds after a cast and says, "Catch me a moat carp, Earl!"
2nd one goes off about 10 seconds later and says, "Gee, isn't this super?!"

Does everyone around me need to hear that? No.
Do they want to? No.

What have we learned from this? Keep it to yourself unless you want other PCs looking at you like they want to shove their vorpal blades right up your one-way butt-tunnel.

I love when some idiot is shouting complete BS in town (mostly San d'Oria...why is that?!?!) and someone else just shouts STFU!!!!
Still pretty lame, but at least someone shouts to keep down the useless crap.

I wish you could put a call in /echo and hear it.

I wish using a macro after a different one didn't nullify the call in the first.

Example:

/pet "Aerial Armor"
/wait 45
/echo "Blood Pact Is Ready!"

but if I use Cure inbetween that "Aerial Armor" and echo timer, it nullifies my echo :x

I agree...that sucks!

I think it's rather annoying when whm's put something in their cure macros. Something like "Cure III <t>" isn't so bad, although I think it gets kind of old, but shit like "May heavenly light from all that is good encompass <t> and heal their wounds so that they might live to battle the evil that plagues this land!" is annoying. And no, I've not seen one that bad, but some come pretty close. I figure that if you're curing, people will figure it out, and you don't need to announce to everyone that you're doing it, because they figure you are anyway.
