I don't think that's it though, because if it was just a warning he'd stop "Calling her out".

I'm not calling her out. I'm answering people's posts. It's not fair of me to accuse someone and leave everyone in the dark about, so I'm trying to get everyone on the same page.

You've called her out on many instances in this thread after she admitted to what she did. I really don't want to go back through 16 pages to find some instances but I will if you want me too.

I'm just not seeing what you want her to do here. She admitted she was wrong and this took place months ago. If it's just a warning to others, well it's a bit late but it seems a little overly dramatic and back door to me. I"m not really going to take sides as I get the drift not everything is on the table here, frankly I'd rather it not be. This sounds like a really personal issue and maybe it should of stayed like that. This isn't a regular "I gave my password out and my shit got stolen" post.

Neo has called her out wanting to know ---why--- she did it to him when they were such close friends. (I'm not going to go back and qoute it since it was said a few times. Like "Ijust want to know why you did it".) I believe anyone would want to know that. Even after apologies we, as humans with emotions, sometimes can't get over what another person has done to us. Like if the love of your life came home and said "I've been banging people behind your back since the first day we started dating." followed by a "but thats horrible of me, I'm sorry." the initial response would be probably accepting the apology since you haven't had time to process it.

But then you'd start thinking about it, processing it, stewing over it. And eventually that sorry means absolutely nothing becuase there was no reason why. And thus it gets brought up all over again in a nasty conflict of personal attacks and an audiance :/.

We all know it hurts to be betrayed and taken for a fool. To me, it seems, the OP was intended as a "for your own safety" with an underlining "I just want to know why you did it." and since many people tend to stumble with their lies by not maintaining consistancy infront of dozens of viewers, maybe thats why he brought it to the public.

All of that is my own stipulation though from a psychological stand point so I'm not talking for anyone. Everything, to me, seems moot now besides the fact that she:

A. Passed off exact doubles of his gear, that weren't his becuase they were signed different, to him. As another poster said "why did she 'borrow' his if she had her own?"

B. Did indeed lie about the fact. And panicing because you have property that isn't yours so put on a very in depth ficade is not an excuse to me. They obviously were very good friends, good enough for her to have his account information. If it was me I would of purely said to his initial response of his stuff being stolen; "Lol its not stolen, I have it silly. I needed it and you weren't on so I borrowed it :) I'll send it right back over."

Calm and rational typically stops blood baths of personal attacks and uneeded public attention from happening. I understand she said sorry, and I understand he took that apology. And a two month wait is a little odd. I can also see the point of waiting when hes not completely angry about it to post as well. Becuase when we're mad we can't control ourselves sometimes, and one bad move may of ended up in him unloading his arsenal of personal information against Mish. Which as he said in the first post, he didn't want to do that.

Maybe it took him 2 months to cool off? I dunno. Either way, those two things above have either been passed over with lame excuses or just haven't been answered at all. Evasion of response, to me after working with inmates, has always meant guilt. That may not be the case here, as everyone is right, it is very he said she said. But I also know people who have the conversations saved and could post them but are chosing not to as they don't want to get involved and they just say exactly what Neo has said. So I am more apt to question what happened directly in that conversation only. And that is A. and B.

if she had intention of giving it all back, why would she deny taking it, attempt to place the blame on another person, try to give him the same stuff with some differences trying to guilt trip him, all to... YOU GOT PUNK'D?

Nah, don't think so. if I was gonna give the stuff back I sure as hell wouldn't have blown all kinds of crap like that trying to keep a cover. There wouldn't have even been a problem (or not as much of one) if that was established.

There is nothing personal about this. Is that how it's coming off as? I suppose I was calling her out earlier because she was clearly trying to weasel out of it though that's not how it was intended to come off as.

I knew this was a long time to wait and I knew what I was going to have to go against. I knew there'd be tons of support from both sides because we're both key players.

you still havent answered te underlaying questions from the objective readers. if you never intended to hurt anyone why did you make a thread about an incident that happened almost half a year ago?

thats what i wanna know.

why does everyone say this happened 5 months ago when neo said it happened in april?
learn2count.

Yes with all the personal comments that are being made. Look at pretty much any other post where accounts items are stolen by giving out your acount info(there are plenty of them). They all end in about 5 pages with almost everyone posting "Idiot don't give out your info" or something like that.

Thing is Kari, if he wants a personal reply to an obviously personal subject I'd deal with it via pm or aim...or hell from the sounds of it a phone call. Like I said if this was just a typical "Hey watch out for XXXX, he/she steals shit if you give them your password" but it's not. Like I said I'm not picking sides as there's obviously more to this flame than meets the eye, I think it's wrong to expect Mish to address him in the public eye in what is obviously a very emotional/personal subject.

This isn't just a post about FFXI, there's mentions about dead fathers, anti depressants, drinking problems etc...this shit shouldn't be on a public forum about a video game, this isn't a game flame - this is personal. This flame has gone far beyond the realm of in game and I don't think any of us really have the right to choose sides here.

Oy what a read.

I think the big issue with the thread is Mish thought this was resolved months ago...I don't think she understands what he wants from her by posting this and I'm not sure I do either. Yes Mish was in the wrong hence the apology and if he had come out right after I think it wouldn't be so confusing. If this was just a "Hey, you know what? I just want to get this out in the open as a warning to others" thread I could understand it - but he keeps calling her out on something. It's not the initial theft, as she admitted to it and said she apologized (this doesn't make the theft right but it does show she feels bad about it and wish it never happened) but something else.

If this was just a warning thread then I think it's a bit late but it does happen...just doesn't seem that way and I don't know if Mish knows what he wants out of her because I'd surely be confused if I was in her position.

Once again, sabia writes my mind so you all can read my mind and get confused. or confuse me. or something. whatever, I'm confused now.

ANYWAY. Was what Mish did a shitty thing to do? Absolutely. But I can't help but get the feeling while reading this that there are alterior motives relating to the release of this information.

Yes I realize this. And lets all go back to WHO brought that up and the fact that Neo has only mentioned him self as a way to show her that she can resort to personal attacks if she wants to but he wanted to know the truth. Not one single comment has been made about anything mish shared with neo in confidence. As I have said NUMEROUS times she did so with melicious intent to pull the topic off its tracks and get the attention off the main problem.

And look at that.

It worked.

Edit: Because now it is no longer a moral of "she lied about taking my things." Its "oh this is just a personal attack, how awful for her." When lookie there, she is the only one that has brought up thier personal conversations and secrets shared. So that is my reason for questioning it so thoroughly. I said it in my initial serious post. She reacted in a very guilty way by baring fangs and throwing around personal attacks in her first post. I'm sure if Neo wanted to hurt her, he could post plenty of embarrasing awful things Mish had said in confidance to him.

Edit again: And I hope he doesn't because I really don't care about anything other than the stolen property and lying. Everything else is just hog wash. But I am pointing out facts here and I'm getting pretty frusturated its being over looked and I have to repeat myself continually.

If its just a "I just want to know why you really did it" sort of thing, I would think it would have been more appropriate if this was discussed between the two of them.

Why the 2 month wait? 2 weeks maybe but 2 months?
If you valued your friendship with mish, you would not have aired it out for all public to see. If you valued her friendship, you would at the very least try to understand her standpoint.

What mish did doesn't make her an innocent. However, she has aplogized as well as made amends to the situation. If you were sarcastic on the being forgiving part, how would she know that? If she wanted to be forgiven, and you "say" that you forgive her, wouldn't you think she'd think that you are in fact forgiving her?
Sorry for the long long sentence >.>

She panicked, she used bad judgement.
What person hasn't?
Even a saint can make mistakes, I'm sure.

There really is none. A few of us were on WoW, and the subject just came up. A few people said I should just go for it and post the incident. After seeing all the outcomes, and talking with a few other friends, I saw no reason why I shouldn't have posted it.

Just forgive each other and keep being friends. This can be fixed, IF you stop right now saying things that will make this impossible to ammend.

Please don't misunderstand me, it's not an attack and I really wouldn't care if there was something deeper, it's just a feeling I got reading this. Perhaps it is a subconscience wish to have more interesting drama to read to help me pass the last 3 hours of the work week. ;)

Kari, nobody is saying Mish is right, personally I think they're both in the wrong for different reasons. Mish for the initial theft (may be a misunderstanding/confusion but don't know enough to judge), and Lego for bringing it up so late (may be no alternative motives but who the hell knows). I don't think either of them are going to get anything out of this post other than more hurt feelings and anger.

This is kinda funny. He got his shit jacked and everyone is making him look like the bad guy. You're right, he shuold have brought it up when it happened like I asked him to. But he was too hurt because he trusted her. Bad Neo, BAD for trusting someone you thought was your friend!

I did try to understand her standpoint and it was pretty ridiculous. Farfetched. Are you saying you don't want to know who's ready to loot you? That's really the only motive behind this. When I did ask her questions, I wouldnt expect them answered. They were for the sake of my argument, because between you and me, I don't really want to look like a fool.

It was never about the gear. It was the fact that she did such a thing. Everyone should have a right to know. Am I in the wrong for letting everyone know who the bad players are? I guess I was mistaken, because that's what I thought the flameboard was for. Maybe should've posted some fucking cat pictures with my original post.
