That's my point, he didn't be specific because they were friends, and she probably didn't tell him right away because they're friends and he she probably figured he wouldn't get mad. Like I said my brother lent out my car to his girlfriend once, and if she hadn't dented it, he probably never would have told me. I didn't distrust my brother after, it's not like he took it out of malice. Did he do something wrong, yeah, but it was not a capital crime like people are making this out to be.

Except for your situation, I'm assuming your brother did eventually tell you and didn't deny that it happened at all. Mish had a chance to explain that the gear was on her when he first approached her about it. Instead she denied it and even went so far as to provide him with similar duplicates of the gear she took. The analogy you're giving is a little bit different because there would be no chance of your brother providing you a similar car as the car was never missing but I think the differences of what exactly happened between the individuals involved and your situation with yourself and your brother is one of the main points of this post.

Keyword was "most." I feel that it boils down to the same thing for me personally, but when you're talking about who is on which side of the fence for this you're mostly going to get people who like whichever person. For all I know your "personal experiences" could fairly well just be that she has you whipped. This may or may not be true, but it's more or less an extension to what I am talking about.

One group will defend one person.

The other group will defend the other person.

People will take impersonal things too seriously for a forum and old friends will start bickering and threatening over a problem that wasn't really anyones to begin with.

The same questions will continue to go back and forth.

My brother had to tell me because he dented my car. But I bet he wouldn't have told me otherwise. And I bet if I asked him if he ever let her drive it while I was gone, he would have said no. Then if I said something like, but a friend of mine saw her in it at this place, he would have fessed up.

Mistakes were made, but nothing that deserves anything like this. People are mostly holding past feelings against her more than this particular thing based on all of the "you always were", "she's always been" stuff.

Well, at least we know how long she took to turn her conscience around and tell him the truth. I'm not sure the fact that she told him the truth can really justify the fact that she took it though, or even come close to justifying it.
