For all you RDMs ...

I'm a douchebag, and can't come up with anything to say other then changing quotes around and I almost forgot Tomasello is 100% correct.

Wow at least you've come to your senses. Just another troll with nothing to say.

I've had plenty to say, along with many other people. You've just ignored it in favor of the "No, I'm right anyway." Just like Isotope.

it's as plausible as manipulation of SERVER SIDE MONSTER MOVEMENT. for the record, when you find ONE server side hack to have existed in the last several years, you can come back here and i'll revoke ever having called you a complete moron. wait, i really haven't done that yet.

Monsters can be manipulated through hacks. Being controlled by the server doesn't stop it from being hacked. Pathfinding, especially, is just scripted AI. RMT have used a hack that changes a monster's position. I have seen RMT camping Phantom Worm pos-hacking scorpions to get their TP.

And that's no lie. Can't give you pics, since I deleted lots of stuff to clean up hard drive space. But I have no motive to lie; my intention isn't to defend Tomasello (I don't even know him).

And who really wants to take the time to formulate the one dominant strategy (taken from classical game theory, something you DON'T want in video/computer games), and then go implement it? A lot of people are saying he could have died so many times fighting the mob over and over until he got it right. On that supposition, it seems a bit strange he would get so many claims so easily. Where the hell is all the CC??? Getting the mob at the right time of the day? How opportune is that. Damn, don't you got something else to do.

Your an ass with nothing to say so GTFO out of my face number 1 and number 2 I do understand how mechanics work I'm just not as stupid an ass as you are to believe he is the only one in the whole game who can do something.

I did say with confidence that I could more or less re-produce what he did, no hax, no cheats. It's not so much a video trying to say "hey i'm better than u lawlz" its more or less, to me anyway, "hey, this is the power of rdm". Get over your ego and stop denouncing anything you think is impossible. You sound like a raving, jealous 2 year old with a "anything you can do, I can do better" complex. I don't think the guy is amazing omg wow only he can do that! I think he's got balls for doing it to begin with, for one, and many rdms might have thought they were limited to being a refresh bitch. It's a creative project he's putting on here, showing the rest of the community what RDM is capable of.

This also doesn't necessarily mean he's the only RDM out there that can do it. In fact, I would wager he isn't the first one to do many of the solo jobs he did... he's merely the spotlight character to get recognition for it.

I, personally, find it to be neat. He was well prepared indeed.

You on the other hand, mr. 3-years-of-RDM-to-put-on-your-resume... look at it this way. Some can play this game to the point they have every job to 75 and still suck. I could name a nice long list of people I've met in my time on this game that sucked horribly that had multiple 75s. I knew players who didn't even have one 75 yet (he still doesn't have a 75, to this day) who started when NA release came out, and plays better than a large majority of the NA player base. I knew people who picked the game up for a month or two and were amazing players. The amount of time you've played a game does not denote your ability to comprehend game mechanics or how well you play the game. Rather, I can't say how well you play either, as I've never partied with you, but the way you talk, it certainly sounds like your ignorance far outweighs whatever shred of skill you might have.

pos hacking... scorpions... at phantom worm? i spent a long part of my life down there trying to get angel skin. never once in about 6 months of phantom worms did i see this ever.

Not at all plausible. A mob's position is generated and updated by the server. The clients sync with this data, so unless the RMT have control over the main server database, they cannot change the position of a mob. They can change their own, since SE is stupid and programmed a game that relies on the client for player information updates. Though technically this is the smarter way to handle it, since if it was the other way around, well... it'd be really funky to control your character if it was laggy. White gate you wouldn't even be able to move coherently.

Well, since nothing says you were there to have seen me (or vice-versa) when I saw it, you obviously weren't there when it happened. :P

So you're calling me a liar or stupid for knowing what I saw? Whose to say a hacker can't send something to the server to modify any of the scripts on the server? The server doesn't dynamically control things, it just gets updated as scripts are called and implemented. Why can't people remember the stuff that major hacker said when he quit? That he knew how to make rare stuff appear in treasure chests (that you would never find in them). Wtfunk, if you can't believe that example says you can do almost anything, I don't know what can.

Are you sure that wasn't related to what I've said? I've never heard of any hack of the sort. Could that have been simply RMT warping to scorpions, warping back, and the scorpion gets confused somehow and warps itself?

I mentioned this quite a few pages back, but people ignored (go figure). It was over a year ago, when me and Xean were lvling our first jobs to 75 and fighting Raptors down in that little gorge where the the NM can spawn.

Its possible that hack has since been removed and is no longer possible, but to all those that were saying its impossible to manipulate a mob's movements in this game, well there's proof that it isn't because RMT were manipulating mob's movements with that hack at one point.

[Edit: To Svina's post - If it wasn't a hack, I don't know what else it could have been. One minute the only mobs around are the fish being caught in that little pool and the worms in the ground, and the next there's a scorpion right where the RMT were standing. A hack is the only plausible explanation for seeing a mob suddenly appear when it was not kited or is suppose to spawn in that area]

Jump up through the floor, get a scorpion, come back down, scorpion follows, possibly even through the floor. Mobs ignore terrain on many occasions. This is a hell of a lot more plausible than some kind of magical server-side hacking.
I'm not saying you didn't see what you saw, but I am willing to propose that it didn't happen for the reasons you think it did.

Nope. Their characters didn't disappear for a second. Even so, in that scenario, the scorpion would just try to find its way to the person from where it was claimed (after a really really long time, of course.)

Mobs ignore terrain heights but not geometrical collision boundaries. The most notable example of this is when the first known people took down AV by keeping him against a wall.

I don't know much about hacks period, so if its possible to move characters through terrain like you explained, then I guess that would of explained it. But when I was down there, the RMT were standing there and hadn't moved but suddenly a scorpion popped right next to them so at the time, the only thought I could fathom was that they had used a hack to make the mob spawn there, or warp it there.

Did it pop red or yellow? I mean, never in my many years of playing have I seen behavoir like that. I spent a lot of time leveling up weapons on crabs in Kuftal, right next to RMT almost all the time.

They popped yellow.

Well, as I said, I can't prove it for reasons already mentioned.

Taking my word for it is as far as that can go. Whether you choose to do so or not is entirely up to you.
