For all you RDMs ...

I said I wouldn't post again, but its been 24hrs and I cannot believe this thread is still going. It is unfortunate that Tom has his opinion about Avesta although he is entitled to it. He has just taken it the wrong way is all. The rest of you are just humouring him. I speak closely with Ave and neither I, him or his friends are affected about peoples opinions concerning Avesta's achievements because this is his activity and he has fun. And that's what playing a game is about. Avesta has completed everything in the game so there is little else to be done otherthan attempt, what some might call "the impossible". As Ave demonstrates, it is not impossible and I am sure many of you and perhaps even Tom here, with the right experience, skill and support could take down something like Seiryu or Charybdis.

Tom thinks Ave hacks. So what? Leave it at that. I know for a fact he doesn't because he has taught me several of his legitimate tricks of trade, but more than that, its not only equipment and stats that make him as good as he is. It is his planning, strategy, and reaction times to the situation he is in. I realise there are some great players out there but if you were given Avestas account for a day and the opportunity to battle opponents of his level, I doubt you could do it.

Avesta can't always do it too. He fought Seiryu four times and got beaten. On top of all the planning, and strategy and experience and reaction times, sometimes its just bad luck. A simple resist can lead to your demise although staying focused on your task and not panicking helps a great deal.

To finalise.

1. Avesta uses a PlayStation. You cannot hack from this.
2. Creatures programs are governed by the areas' server, not the client.
3. There is no way to manipulate a creatures location/position.
4. Avesta uses several tricks in the system. This is fair play. Not hacking/cheating.
5. He is also highly eye balled and monitored by Gamemasters and developers as they also believe as Tom does. But have so far only found REAL hackers and cheaters such as RMT and some foul players. Avesta has been doing his thing for over a year, without these (see #1).
6. Avesta lives in Japan, and with his latency being really low, and being on a game machine that FFXI was built originally built for give him a speed advantage. PCs are actually a lot slower (I'm not so sure about XBOX).

I think that's about it. Continue burning Tom if you like. I'm not going to because there is little point. He is allowed think as he wishes. You lot are just ranting on about it, "He hacks", "No he don't", "You're an idiot", "Prove it", "Windge-windge", "Cry-cry". Avesta will still keep playing happily whilst you all bicker between each other. Go play FFXI and be happy.

I don't think Tom is a bad person, nor anyone of you, he has just been pushed into a corner because of his opinion that the rest of you oppose. I too oppose him also but I'm not going to argue with him - it's not right and ultimately a waste of my time. At the same time, his responses seem to insist his points but only because you're all provoking him and his opinion.

Many people strongly believe in their hearts that God exists. It is my belief and opinion that I don't think he does. To this day, it cannot be proven either way. But why argue about it? Its how wars start - just like this one.

Now, I should get on with some work ha-ha. Good luck!

P.S. Sorry if my grammar is a bit off, I'm sleeepy (as usual) ; ;
have disagree about the ps2 part. He uses the extra macro lines therefor have to be using computer and as pass hackers have said in pass it not impossible to hacck with a ps2.

The complete opposite of the truth. I have been called about every name in the book for simply suggesting that he does. The fact you won't even acknowledge the possiblity, whether he does or doesn't, makes you wrong.

I'm done with this topic, go beat up someone else for having a different opinion then you.

Lemme just make one thing clear. Yes it is possible he hacks. It is possible YOU hack. It is possible I hack. It is possible you fuck goats and sing the Al Qaeda praises in the streets of New York City. I have acknowledged all possibilities.

Happy now?

seem to be the argument is that tom believe that bind would gain resistance over time that he should have been resisted a bunch more. Thing ive never like about his vids is that he don't show the entire thing he show it in bit in pieces. Though thing you need to take in account is

A he the only one there and the only one who is build resistant to.
B he spaces out his bind and as it been stated resistance decrease over time.
C he got 5 int merits full enf and 5 ice merits.
D he got rdm dream gear.
E seiryu like cast long spells like tornado.

as for the bunny bind test that made me laugh. big difference from a bunny with no int and 10- lvl lower then person casting and seiryu a mnk/blm which is 10+ lvls higher then you and lots of int.

It possible he could hack I like think he dont; give me something strive for, but who cares.

though i guarantee that 9/10 he would die from seiryu and was very lucky that seiryu played the way he need him to.

I say to you as I said to Tom ... if Bind resistance build-up is something that exists on all mobs in the game, it would be just as easily demonstrated on a level 1 bunny as on a god, and it would in fact be a *better* test to do it on the bunny, since that excludes a lot of other variables that might interfere (such as, as you mentioned, level difference or INT difference).

A mob does not have to be higher level than you or have higher stats than you, to build up resistance. If it's gonna build up resistance, it's gonna build up resistance. If it's not, it's not. Level and relative stats have nothing to do with it.

If you haven't done the Tuning Out quest, the bees for that build up sleep resistance, but they're quite wimpy compared to a level 75. Ditto for the tigers for the A Chocobo's Tale quest.

And then you can go trot off to, I dunno, Ru'Avitau. Pull a Decorative Weapon to the zone so you can cheerfully sit there sleeping it without magic aggroing Aura Butlers. Sleep it for a half hour or so. It will not build sleep resistance, despite being quite a bit stronger level- and stat-wise than those wimpy quest mobs.

It would therefore be a logical fallacy to do as Tom did, and go "I fought these tigers for a quest once, and they built sleep resistance, so I think everything in the game builds sleep resistance." And then compound the already incorrect conclusion by using it as the basis for another conclusion, as in "Since everything in the game builds sleep resistance, and I didn't see any sign of it here, the person must be hacking."

Finally, go on to not only be wrong, but to piss other people off with your stubborn illogical behavior, with "Any of you who try to argue that my conclusion is wrong - arguing that I'm wrong about the whole sleep resistance thing in the first place, and therefore my logic, following from it, falls to bits - well, you're just blind little fanboys and I'm still right. You little peons aren't worth my time to actually prove my baseless claims that you seem to think are incorrect."

Substitute "mammets in a mission" for "tigers for a quest" and "bind" for "sleep" and you basically have Tom's argument, and the blatant logical problems with it.

Yes, it's possible Avesta hacks. I don't personally think he does, but it's possible, and I said that way back in the single-digit page numbers of this thread. All my arguing here *since* then, is not to the tune of "Avesta doesn't hack" so much as "Tomasello can't make a logical argument that can stand up to scrutiny, and here's the following holes in it." The fact that the subject of the argument is Avesta, or hacking, is quite irrelevant to me.

And that's my final word on the subject. Tom can feel free to reply to this with yet another caustic comment that doesn't actually respond to the points I've been making about the holes in his logic (as he has done in the majority of his previous replies to me), but unless he actually goes and makes a *logical* argument (and actually backs up his claims), I'm not particularly interested in replying further.

I'm certainly not holding out for a "Ya know, I was wrong about the game mechanics in the first place and didn't know what I was talking about - thanks for the corrections and clarifications, guys. I do still think he hacks although I have no evidence to convince anyone of it, but I apologize for making such a big stink about what was only my opinion." While that would certainly be gratifying to see, and would in fact probably be the most mature way for him to bow out of this and salvage some of his reputation after making a fool of himself, I ain't holding my breath.

Please show me some PS2 hacks and I'll show you how to press two macros at once.

And are you really sure you're counting the number of equipment changed lines? Because I'm reasonably sure they add up to 6.

I was pretty sure that all the macro lines added up to 6, and unless he is on a really shitty PC, which wouldn't be able to run XI anyways, to have graphics like that. After playing on a PS2 since i started those are, in my mind near 100%, PS2 graphics.

God you're more annoying than Peregrine, Vang, Windaria and Blazn combined.

hey hey hey, lets not go there.

And he is the greatest red mage by a factor of 100 that ever walked the earth.

Too bad I'm not a mod anymore. ;_;

Banzgo.

Ladies and Gents this is what i call PROOF. You know that thing Tom never had.

I want a hack that makes it look like I'm playing on a PS2, too. :/

Banzgo.

Because banning those who adamantly disagree is the solution. We should all just be yes-men/women and agree with everything said or get banned... While I understand the argument is going in a huge circle and rather pointless, is it his fault or all of your faults for continuing to post?

What's more plausible shit head? He's the GREATEST RDM BY A FACTOR OF 100 WHO EVER PLAYED THIS GAME or he fucking hacks?

What's more plausible, that he's "100x better than the second best" as you put it, or that other people just don't want to bother wasting so much effort on silly solo acts because they know that all it does is amount to some "e-peen +1", and, if they do do this stuff, they just don't go about posting vids of it in an attempt to make it "e-peen +2"? And seriously, "100x better than the rest"? You're putting him on a bigger, shinier pedestal than everyone else is by making such a big deal over what he's done.

P.S. I'm personally unimpressed by killing something via tossing DoTs/Binds. The only thing I could even clap my hands at regarding the matter is that he didn't go insane from repetition after the first hour.

Tom said:
HAHA, the bottomline is unless your Avesta how the hell do you really know if he hacks or not? So I'd stop sounding so sure he doesn't. My opinion is he does and your opinion, cause that's all it is, is that he doesn't.

Quoted for emphasis. Yet again.

ITS MY OPINION he hacks.

If you want to disagree with me fine thats what boards are all about but if you come here just to call me names then go fuck yourself.

So while noone is allowed to question your opinion without being called names, al you do is laugh at people and call them sheep and morons for not having your opinion...

Why you all act like its not remotely possible he hacks is a complete mystery to me.

Now turn that around and say "Why you can't believe it's remotely possible that he is legit is a complete mystery to everyone else"

He's not going to make it obvious on the video, so conversly it's not like you can prove he didn't hack.
It's obvious Avesta hacks and your all gullible fools.
if it's obvious, but he's not making it obvious... Does this mean I can put a tin can in the microwave and go back in time?

It does.... all enfeebles do (get resisted) except dia and bio.

Mobs have to face to you deliver a physical attack.

>.>

He's the GREATEST RDM BY A FACTOR OF 100 WHO EVER PLAYED THIS GAME or he fucking hacks?

If I can't do it reliably (ie 95% of the time alla Avesta) with 342 enfeeble, as much INT as I can pile on, and Aquilo's Staff then he's a fraud.

Never said I was incredible and the debate was on how such a HACK could be done.

Yeah, you really said all 3 of those things.

How long before you accepted the fact there was no Santa Claus? Or do you still live in fairyland? Let Avesta be your hero, I have every reason to be skeptical and you're the moron for not seeing it.

Actually, you have 1 reason to be skeptical. Because you can't do it. Er... have you ever tried? No? I guess you have no reason to be skeptical then.

If you want to disagree with me fine thats what boards are all about but if you come here just to call me names then go fuck yourself.

I was gonna quote all the times you called people names in this thread just because they disagreed with you, but I don't really want to quote every single post.

Well regardless of the fact that your a close-minded idiot who can't even admit its possible Avesta hacks, others are also of the opinion it is possible that he could of hacked and that mobs can build resistance to bind.

I don't think anyone in the thread has said it's impossible that he hacks up to the point where you said that. If I'm wrong though, no big deal, i'll be man enough to admit it.

BECAUSE ITS MY OPINION and I have a right to it.

One of the few topics on which I agree with you. It is your right (if you are a US citizen) to have your opinion and speak it freely.

Your no more right then I am unless YOU can somehow prove he doesn't.

As long as you can't prove he DOESN'T hack I don't have to shut shut cause your no more right then me.

Then it starts to get hazy again. As long as we are talking about rights, there is this little clause in the same document that gives you your right to an opinion that also grants people the right of being innocent until proven guilty. This has already been brought up, but I wanted to point out how hypocritical it was to claim a right given by the government to deny a right given by the government.

What you are doing here may well be considered lible by that same document. Claim your right to an opinion all you want, but don't remove all the others selectivly as you see fit to try and strengthen a baseless arguement.
