Im having a problem i cant figure out. I currently have 1gig of RAM, but in my ctrl + alt + delete task manager where you can view your ram and processer usage, it says i have 1gig, but only 600mb for use. whats wrong with this? Also, Id like to increase my virtual (page file) RAM on my harddrive but cannot figure out how to increase it. Any help is appreciated please discuss.

You might have 1 gig it will not all ways use it at 100% (do not know anything that does)

Take as an example PSP 4 gig memory card(action replay before people say cant get 4 gig) it only has 3.98 gig of memory for use. As it stores err forgot name but its what starts things up, you can not remove it as if you did the thing you are working on will not find it in C:/ etc

If you on windows XP you go to control panel then system Icon. oncr that opens click on the performance tab and the first box should be the performance with a description saying virtual memory in it. Hit that settings button to open the settings box. Then the advanced tab in that box has the Virtual memory and a button to change it if you choose to.

also on the memory thing. I have 1 GB of memory installed also on my machine and when i look at the performance tab it says there is the 1 GB memory total with a varying 470,000 avaialbe. Im fairly sure thats the 400k number and not the full 1048 because the other 600,000 is in use by the system.
