They are dropping like flies ;o... I have now noticed Nuki and the party he usually runs in ordelles is gone as well as Edsion's crew. Looks like SE is starting to make some moves against them.

Or they're all taking a vacation. Hope for the best.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder whats really happening. Well time to chec things out, I logged out in Ordelle's yesterday ^^

... or they're gone to a more lucrative spot under the sun : WoW, EG2... :)

Well think of this,

Each one makes how much an hour?
How many are there?
How much is Gil/$
How many Buyers are left?

1,000,000g/$60.00
even with the sonic team Gypsy Family working around the clock, the others can't pull thier weight. and if you notice how often they actually sell a ring... you can see thier situation was dismal at best.

If you paid your Gil Farmer the going sweatshop rate of $2.00/hr, then to make a profit you have to earn 35,000 Gil/hr.

I think the Cost/Time ration swung away from them.

Wait, so they are no longer camping archer rings, yet Snipers are now up to 1 million each. Something does not add up here.

No they're back... but the reason for snipers being so high has, strangely enough, nothing to do with them. I still price mine only 100k over the archer, and archers are still 650k.

This is just player greed I guess.

350k profit on crafting a sniper ring. Why oh why did I do bonecraft instead of leathercraft

Nah...some idiot bid 1mil on one cause he didn't wanna wait for the price to go down I guess. Now there are 14 some snipers up, as everyone thinks they're going to strike it rich with the prices up, then rebuy when they're low. They're going to plummet because of the flooding now. :D

well teh vermillion cloak and scorpion harness prices are still on mad rise :(

How about the Fox family in the server? Did they migrate as well  :D ?

Dragonsword, lvl 60 rdm

im assuming the price of gil dropping is causing people to stop making money off of it. just not worth it to them anymore since 1 million gil is so cheap now.

ive absolutely had it tonight with the gil sellers. im absolutely broke by doing genkei 5 so i needed to make money. off to zitah i went.....15 mins later...guess who shows up. yeah figures...the gil sellers.
i figured what the hell, i may as well call a gm just to lodge a complaint not thinking that anything would come of it. well to my surprise, i actually got somwhere with this one. gm gludd says that lately the influx of gm calls have been about the gil sellers. technically the gms cant do anything about it and its understandable as i work for technically support also and i know that many things are out of my hands as well. he did give me advise though, to send comments and have everyone i know to do the same. if we get enough complaints they may do something as they already know that there is issues with the gil sellers. the gm states that he too has a char on the server and is just as pissed as everyone else that they are ruining the economy. so he asked me to do him a favor of spreading the word of what to do for this.....so here goes- submit feedback through the POL viewer. go to service and support>support>email support>and look for a feedback type of section.
if we get enough people to send in responses, our voices may be heard

I actually bothered with this idea, called a GM about the ordelles tards... he said the same thing, that it was out of his hands unless I could show him substantial proof, but that he'd be more than happy to if he had the power.

So yeah, maybe they do care after all? *shrug* I don't use GM Call at all. I was expecting more of a loser response from it.

there was nothing said about substantial proof. i talked to the gm and obviously there isnt anything he can do either way, but if SE is going to have issues with the thousands of people that complain about it rather then the few dozen gil sellers, their best interest is to keep the majority of the people happy. thats just the business aspect of it.

News from IGE said:
Play Nice, Don't Monopolize!

Millions of people, like you, enjoy playing online games. Everyone plays the games to have a good time. Friendliness, courtesy, and respect for others are as important in the online world as they are in real life. We encourage all players to be good citizens of the gaming community. Exploits, hacks, and monopolizing camp spots so other people can’t acquire good items are destructive to the whole game experience for everyone. Game economies are not helped by making it difficult for other players to play and enjoy the game. Any activity that makes playing the games less fun hurts us all. We encourage you to use common sense, common courtesy, and enjoy the marvelous adventures in the games. Help everyone have fun and all else follows.

What do you think this means? They obviously don't care at all about FFXI economy or any of that bullshit. I think this may be their desperate attempt to stay afloat as supply exceed demand by huge margins and they are forced to drop prices to the point where they are not making as much money anymore. This may just very well be a plea from IGE rather then an attempt to help the game.[/b]

Not all gil sellers may be directly affiliated with IGE though. It is possible a third party company is responsible and they deal with them however... who knows? If they believed in their own news post Ordelles wouldn't be camped by 2 full pts of them round the clock...UNLESS it wasn't connected to them.

Maybe, however, this explains the disappearance of the Amemit campers... ?

i dont understand why ige put out that comment...i mean hell, they monopolize all the camping spots making it hard for everyone to get the good items. they basically just contradicting what gil sellers do/cause

i hope to god that gil selling goes away or at least diminishes alot. however, i dont see them completely disappearing
