Frank's Red Hot Sauce

It's good on certain food, like fried catfish. I don't really think it makes anything hot though. It's more of a vingerey/salt flavor than hot. If I am going for the burn I'll add this Jabanero hot sauce I have.

i just dont like the flavor... i like things hot and spicy... but this stuff is.. weird >_>

Kurgon, you just earned 5 respect points there man. Kudos to you for actually eating something other than Hambergers...

Unfortunately now I'm really hungry...

Oh yeah: Crystal Green Habañero Sauce rules. Absolutely the best stuff on the planet, and exceptionally cheap too.

Well I was raised by a Mississippian. :P We always made it with a brown paper bag.

Take the bag put in your corn meal and add a little bit of flour (helps it stick a little better) and add your seasonings. I like Cayenne pepper, garlic, black pepper, and a little salt. Bunch up the top of the bag and shake to mix everything. Add your raw fish and shake again.

Take your iron skillet and fill it one quarter to half full with grease (vegetable oil is all I've ever used for frying fish) and you'll now that it is hot enough when you can take a pinch of the cornmeal in the oil and it will sizzle. Don't let it get too hot though or you will burn the outside crust but the inside won't be done.

Garnish with cornbread, some greens, and put ketchup and hot sauce on your fish.

Obviously fried isn't the healthiest way to prepare it but man is it good. There are other fish I perfer if it is going to be grilled/baked/brazed ect.
