So a Freebirds just opened up practically down the street from my house. I love this place. Used to have to drive like 45 mins to get to the closest one.

I've eaten here a couple of times. There's an inordinate amount of white people around for a burrito place.
But the ceiling features the statue of liberty bursting through the wall on a motorcycle, so it's all good.

They were offering free burritos for a year for the first 25 people in line. People were camped outside for about 2 days. Crazy. The theme at the one they just opened here is Woodstock.. but anyhow...

For Xalioniaf, to break the boards, and just because:

It's been years since I've eaten at Freebirds. Kind of makes we want to take a weekend trip to College Station but unfortunately the ol' liver is out of shape these days.

I loooove Moes, so friggen good and cheap. The Joey Junior here is like $5 for drink, unlimited chips and salsa and a decent sized burrito. Can't beat that deal. They also play the best music of any other food chain I know of.

Edit: After looking at their website, I gotta admit Freebirds looks pretty sweet. Only in Texas and Oklahoma though, wtf.

All I know is that there's those in Houston and like one here in San Antonio.
Website says there's a couple in College Station, Austin, and Dallas-FtW, as well as one waaaay out in Lubbock.

And one in Oklahoma, but no one cares.

Yeah, they are pretty sparse for how popular they are. I think the one in Dallas is on Mockingbird Lane just to the right of the light if you were goin' South on 75. I know I saw it on the way to the airport but can't pin-point the exact location nor find it online. I think there is also one bein' built in Richardson just off the George Bush Tollway after you hit it from 75 and before the big Wal-Mart on the right.
