From 33 to 40 in < 24 hours!

I leveled my Monk from the Shitadel at level 33 to level 40 this weekend. I realize that many have done more with less, but it was good times nonetheless for a casual gamer such as myself. I really don't get many opportunities to XP, and as it was, I got home earlier from pub hopping saturday, logged on and actually got a party! o.O We decimated Garliage until 3am or so, then I logged and passed out. :wacko:

So Sunday, I decide to give it another shot since it was kinda a crappy day, and I got an XP invite at about 2pm. After many AFK's and D/C's and such, we finally broke party at about 10pm after I reached the level 40 milestone! (Jujitsu Gi for Monk... [yes please!])


Sure, I wasted a whole damn day of my precious weekend on FFXI, but I had fun, and I was going to watch football after hockey practice anyway, so it worked out.

So, to the multitude of players that cycled in and out of my XP parties today, I thank you.


...And on another note. There really are some players out there that are decent, even though they are only Rank 2. Our WHM (Rank 2) showed some pretty decent skill, and was open to suggestions also, which is DAMN rare.
 
Lately the complete assholes i've been coming across are Rank 10. The Samurai's who think SH is better than Hauby. The RDM's who think PLD doesn't need Refresh and then complain when we have to rest. It seems the lower rank people are willing to listen if you have suggestions. Congrats on 33-40 so quick. I managed 62-64 in a few hours the other day. Still felt zombified after. I swear if I never see another Aydeewa Diremite again it'll be too soon.

You didn't know that by finishing the nation rank missions, it's a sign that you know everything? Which I suppose, is why I'm still only Rank 7 after playing this game for over 4 years... :bb:
 
first off Congrats Excim that is Definitely an accomplishment now a days.

But yeah i have been seeing more and more rank 10 players around lately, not sure if it's because most people are finishing up ZM and CoP and want to do something else (personaly i think the ToAU missions are dumb after you get Salvage) or so many players have rank 10 in all three nations now. either way i remeber when you could look at someone's rank and get a pretty good guess on their skill lvl, now a days it's completely up and the air.
 
Grats on the intense grinding! I leveled my RDM from 46 on Saturday to 54 by Sunday night. I have just one week left till school starts back up and would love to get my RDM to 60 :D !!
