I was recruited into a lvl20 XP party on my nin, with what I thought were decent people. But almost an hour and a half later I had to leave the pt, after only gaining 1.5k. Among the party members was a mithra named Aigril.

Sometime over the course of the party she simply left us at the lake and went afk at delkfutts without saying anything in the party.

Everyone was confused at first but thought we would wait. Finally, the pt leader told us her "dad" sent him a pm (I think he meant /tell) that Aigril was afk eating. WTF, nice to let us know right?

So then after approx 45 minutes her "dad" ftyg tells us in pt he is sorry but she is almost done and all that jazz. But of course things had slowed to the point where we had to heal after every fight and it wasnt worth the time.

I had enough and told ftyg in party that it was rude she simply left us without saying anything. She was leeching and slowing us down. He got defensive saying she was almost done and that since she was at delkfutts, how was she leeching and slowing us down?

I made it clear that the pt was trying to wait on her. It is the pt leaders fault, but by not replacing her she is still leeching by holding up a spot. The xp was slow anyways since the fights took forever!

At that point, other pt members started going afk for smokes or whatever. I realized the downward spiral one person had n effect and wanted to leave. I told everyone in party that all of the afk and downtime was unacceptable and I was leaving.

Ftyg then harrassed me with tells asking why I couldnt just be "nice", and defended himself saying he told the pt leader so everything shouldve been alright and that she didnt leave us in a fight so it should be ok?

I had lost all patience. He's right the pt leader shouldve said something but it also falls on him and his daughter. It didnt help he was so rude about he and his daughters ignorance. He earned a /blist. 30+ mins of afk is not alright.

I encoruage you all to give him the same respect.
 
Sounds like it was more of a misunderstanding on your part so far. Plus everything i've seen about Ftyg has only said that he is pretty funny. Screenshots of LS convos are great.
 
I'm confused, how is it a misunderstanding on OP when ftyg made it clear he only told pt leader about the afk? I've seen so many people post and flame that same thing. It's totally unacceptable.
 
Um, how is this Ftyg's fault? If your pt leader is stupid enough to not boot someone who is afk for over 30 minutes, you're blaming the wrong person. Especially considering he was just trying to let your pt leader know what was going on. Failthread.
 
I always say in pt chat w/e I have to go afk:

"Gotta go afk... If Im gone too long just boot me"

Thanks ruffy. I dont think its a big deal to announce in pt afk. But again my problem was his defensive stance and tells to me. I have a right to go elsewhere and not deal with all of the afks. With his daughter being the perpitraitor<sic> its pointless to harass anyone who would want to move on.

Ftyg is a higher level and he should absolutely know better to respect people concerning time and their ability to come and go. He didnt do that. I said in pt I was leaving and he didnt. That is what I mean about respect for coming and going.
 
A parent defending his own child, i do not see anything wrong with that... Of course afk is bad, but for this case, Ftyg just doing his rl role. :)

And yet the topic title is about Ftyg, who was neither a part of your party or any reason your party fell apart. Oh no, I don't fail. This flame is misdirected and is making someone look bad who didn't do anything wrong.

He didn't even HAVE to tell your party anything. Don't give us that "he should know better" bullshit since he had to put up with your crap for something that wasn't his fault. I'd get defensive too if I try to inform someone about something and they cop an attitude with me.
 
If you actually felt it was the party leaders fault for not booting, his name should be the topic. Not FTYG.

~why didn't you leave sooner if it was a problem?

with ruff though, its just being polite to the other members to let them know your going to go afk.

For you to flame someone over actually being kind and letting everyone know what's up then being pissed when he's asking you to chill out is a laugh.

You're just need a scapegoat because you're pissed you didn't either leave sooner or didn't have the cojonest to ask the leader to temporarily boot her until she returns to not leech XP.

Most GOOD parties can party with 5 at a slower xp/hr rate without fail... So for you guys to be healing uber after every fight is just reeks of a bad setup, not shifting to a more chainable target xp mob or someone not staying on their "A" game.

Leave it to a fiery-tempered poster boy for emo-DRKs to flame my Master, and not find a more amicable solution lol.

Edit: Ftyg doesn't start shit or keep fuel on the flames of another's anger, so I'm rather sure you won't even see him waste his time of day with your flame... You need to be more responsible for your actions and quit blaming other people. You obviously could have left earlier and just said it's not working out instead of making a bitch-fit.

What's really surprising is, unless you moved LS and your sig is old, so far everyone I met from Jammin'Tunes has been decent or really cool people and seemingly wouldn't pull this bleeding pussy crap son.

I mean if your going afk to eat what happened to putting your seek down and going to eat? I understand if the party has been going for 2 hours or something then if everyones ok with you going to eat for a break but... lol

I'm not saying what the daughter did was right, but instead of bitching and moaning over something so small on QCDN, he had the option of leaving earlier and having nothing to cry about. I'm sure most of you who still live at home get the occasional "parent aggro" for dinner/unexpected guests and w/e.

QCDN is being overwhelmed with weak ass flames from people who'd be doing the world a favor fapping with sandpaper so hard, they lose their reproductive capabilities... This is one of them.

To be frank, all the other posts being necro'd are more amusing than this kind of garbage flame where something so simple could have been done to avoid any major problem...
