Apparently, I do not do a lot of shipping and so here I turn to QCDN for help.

I sold my PS2 and Rockband set to my wife's cousin, and being the environmentalist I am, I try to conserve the use of boxes in all ways possible.

I couldn't find a fucking box to fit the damn drum set and guitar.

I go to a storage place down from my house and found a 24" wardrobe box. Think anyone will take this or be a bitch about it?

ITT: Pix.

Thanks, QCDN!

UPS should, just take it to one of their shipping centers.

If they bitch just say "You're welcome." You know, since you've saving the planet and all.

yeah, that aint too big of a box for ups or fedex to handle.

UPS FedEx and Puro.. er nvm Canadian comp. Anyway, I believe the rule of thumb is no heavier than 50-60lbs. Dimensions should not be an issue what-so-ever unless you're shipping skids, and that's so they know they need a cube van ~.^

Just expect to pay for it =)

I'll try it out. The issue is I am going to have a hard time to fit it into my car without it obstructing my view. Already have a baby seat in the backseat as it is and not a lot of trunk space. Guess I'll just print the labels and tell them to pick it up. Oh shit, I don't have a printer. >.>

Dunno how it works in the states, but in Sweden you can write it by hand, as they'll enter it in to the computer themselves later.

Although you could, you know, unpack it, fold the box together, and then pack it there before sending it? The box takes up a lot of space, which would be solved by folding it together and packing it there before sending it :3

If he was going to do that, he could save even more room by not taking the box at all, since most brick&mortar shipping stores have boxes to sell there.

Yes, but he said he didn't want to buy one for environmental purposes :3

He meant that he didn't want to buy more than 1 box for the two. Although you're not saving the planet since, you know, those boxes have already been made.

The boxes, if it's USPS, UPS, FEDEX, or whatever, don't have to be by that shipping company. I sent a friend of mine some hoodies for Christmas and the USPS had no problems taking some random cardboard box I had.

I know, and that was my point. Since he didn't have a big enough car to ship the packed package, he could unfold it and pack it there, instead of buying a new box.

Lol, I really was being sarcastic when I said that. Didn't want to really get 2 boxes made.

whenever I set up a pick up for UPS the online form asks for the approximate size and weight. I also know we don't use them to ship windshields. We have to use Fedex Freight, but I dn't know if that's a corporate thing (for cost purposes.) or a UPS thing.
