FUCK THE JAPANESE

I'm not much for racisim, but some of these JP's posting "JP Only, English: X" really bugs the crap outta me. Whats just as bad as, when i simply say {Hello}, they say {No Thanks!} before i even ask if they wanna pt. I think it is rare finding an awsome jp that will try and comunicate.

Yeah, that shit gets old quick. You don't see many NA players with "NA Onry, Japanese: X" in their comments.. But if you can get into a few JP parties and prove your worth, you will earn a positive reputation.

When I was about 70blm or so, I got an invite (in japanese text) from a Japanese guy, so I said "Yes, Please". He said "<Do you speak any Japanese>" and it sounded like he was gonna renig on the invite. We had a good party and after that it became a static until 75. So.... the moral of the story is that it's usually a language thing, and if they like you then you'll probably get more and more invites from the same people. Especially if the person who liked you is the one who puts the party together most of the time.

yeah that bothers me too, or when you /tell them something they reply back with " I dont have anything to give you"

guys get this through your damn head that i was really messed up that night and didnt even know i wrote this til i looked like 3 days after. now STOP DIGGING IT UP!

I'm pretty sure everybody has forgotton or could care less how the thread was posted. :P I still think it's a good topic for posting NA pet peeves we have with JP players.

I am curious if the autotranslator is as easy to use for the JP as it is for us. I bet it's actually a little more difficult for them since our alphabet is sound based while their symbols can be full words with different connections. If this is the case I can understand why they seem so unwilling to use their auto-translator. If it's not the case, I think most JP that refuse to try and communicate are just being brats.
I had an NA RNG in a group of mine once that refused to communicate with the JP in the PT, using the auto-translator, and instead just kept typing as though they understood him, ignoring their questions and requests. I took it upon myself to tell him to cooperate of gtfo, to which he complied. I wonder if doing the same is taboo or just too rude in JP culture. I can't imagine so, since they are pretty rude to us...

Raivyn ..... I didnt bother finish reading... <3

In some old thread, a person explained why the auto-translation system is....screwed up. People shouting to give a {Reward} annoys a lot of JP because Reward is in reference to giving your pet a treat for doing a trick/task, for example; very few people would really enjoy the idea of jumping thru a hoop for a dog treat, would they?.

{Nice to meet you} is more formal while {Hello!} tends to be more of a friendship-based thing (though dunno why that'd annoy them either way). There's other stuff but can't think of it at the moment.

Didn't the JP create the game... lol Respect them
And an American person discovered the primary uses of electricity to run the things to play said game...
Respect is merited, not created. =P And yay to the people that made it, not the entire culture of the people that made it.

How do people feel about localized servers? I was thinking about that the other day while I was reading about a new MMORPG that was coming out. What would FFXI be like with localized servers.

They'd suck because then I'd NEVER EVER get to speak english on ffxi...

Segregated servers is the last resort of a communication collapse....and hopefully, they never, ever hafto resort to that, or else we'd get a "Ragnarok Online" pulled on us. (With that game, they [Rather, Korea] gets the update, Japan gets it 2-3 months later, then US gets is 2-3 months after THEM)

I was just thinking that I am usually on at late night times in my timezone and it would be great for camping, shitty for parties and quests, but great for camping.

Well I think of degree of respect is merited seeing as we are all humans...not because they made a video game or something. Its more of an underlying respect that is more often taken away than given (given respect is something thats really earned).

On a side note (sparked by Mish's comment), Japan's economic success depended largely on the intelligence of their government post WW2 in becoming an export intensive country....mainly to the US. Most all of asia followed their example.

i just hate mean people,, cause they suck!!! I have also been cursed out and told no to party as soon as the jap found out im usa.
