There was a PT of 4 of us camping. There was an EXP party(mistra's) there leveling. They were going to help us once we got claim if we needed it. The mob spawns, we start fighting... we got him to 50% health easily when he EES'd on me, which I did not expect until later in the fight.

I was PT leader, and therefore could not invite mistras PT into Alliance. Dal dropped quickly, and bam... stolen. Our party never even saw him go yellow. We all were stunned, as I was giving out commands as to what to do. (chainspell raise).

Once again... good job on commenting on an event you had no involvement in. :wink:

Hey son, you lost your chance to this mob when half of your party died. Had you allianced with Mistra to start with then it would be a different story. The fact that you were an arrogant leader to begin with ultimately lead to your death and what would have been the death of your entire party. Bad strategies lead to death as I am sure you have encountered so many times. You can take your defensive stances all you want. I bet you're one of those guys that got highlevel help for every single mission and quest while you were leveling up, and now that you're highlevel yourself (I assume), you overwhelm every single mob you fight and don't ever go for a challenge, passing it off as an impossible fight if there's any risk at all.

Dal and I having close to 300 TP, and both mages being close to full MP we decide to try to take it, opening with Arching arrow >>> SA SB for me to hold hate. I tell Mistra: Got him, gonna try solo, stand by for invite.

Fight ensues, Skill chain takes him to 1/2 HP immidiately. Shadows get interupted, and bam EES. Mob turns to Dal, I call for raise, and tell Mistra: Need you, getting raise and inviting.

Dal falls fast, and all of a sudden the mob is purple. Plan B was in action, but the mob was stolen before we could react. Our mages never even got hit.

Dude, thats freaking awesome. But me, I like a challenge. I like to try things, to see if I can succeed against the odds.

You've never done a BC once, failed for whatever reason, tried it again, and won? It's impossible to predict every little thing that can go wrong in a fight - losing a fight doesn't mean that you could not win it.

This is my last post on the topic. You failed during the planning and prep phase and it shows because 1. You died and 2. your strategy was flawed. I use common sense, something that you lacked that night. If members of NH stole it then shame on them. However, IT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. Heh, expected a flame on this a couple weeks ago, so not surprised to see this. So let's start back at the beginning of the story.


A little less than a 2 PT NH alliance was camping Zip, when we heard that MG had just spawned, we escaped & raced with OH to the its spawn. They beat us to the claim by about 30 seconds. So we hang around there for about two min before the first of them die (they're tanking it straight up, afraid of a steal). I make the comment to Araelus, something like "Why are you tanking it? it's not like we're going to steal it". No sooner than I say that, than suddenly, it is stolen (yeah, left my face a bit red, Araelus is a old friend from way back - Odon had said something along the same lines to Prophecy before it happened too).

What had happened? Deathsreturn had Shadowbound MG & shot it once (I couldn't see this at the time, but OH confirmed it afterwards as we were speaking in /say). Let me tell you now what we told OH then: We had no clue, no idea, no hint that he was going to do that. There was nothing discussed, over LS-chat, over PT-chat, over tell-chat to suggest that he was doing anything to try to steal MG. We weren't buffed, I had half mp, blms were down on mp too. This was the action of one person & right after we said 'Gather Together Escape' he stole it & then immediately logged.

So anyways, we stand around in confusion for 30-40 seconds as MG goes around the OH ranks, tearing them up without them being able to defend themselves (personally, was hoping it would become yellow again). We have no idea what to do, Maseki is mad as hell that a steal happened. He eventually says 'Try to finish it off, give OH the stone'. So our pld vokes & we try to take it down. Sufficient to say, no where near to prepared, hence the wipe.

This was not a MPK or a steal attempt by NotoriousHunters or by any other member of the PT in anyway whatsoever. We were just as shocked & surprised as you & we said as much to OH right after it happened. (Notice you didn't show a screenshot of that )

I only wish that I still had shots of the PT/LS-chat (deleted windower directory before I installed the post-patch version - didn't give thought to the screenshots), for visual vindication.

Personally I had felt was done was done with that and it's true that Maseki did apologize and what not and I dont' really believe it was intentional.

But at the same time the guy who did it still in your shell, and a few days later Maseki starts accusing us of random shit we didn't do. Like MPKing at Serket, stealing King Behemoth(or attempting to?).

The conversation probably went like this...

Person getting ToD: Yeah the JPs got claim of KB.
Some guy in NH LS: Anyone trying to steal it?
Person getting ToD: I don't know, I think I see someone possibly in voke range.

A few hours later
All over NH LS Chat: Z0mg that tried to steal it! The person getting ToD saw with his own eyes!!!!
Maseki: Those rat bastards!!! I'll tell everyone I know they tried to steal KB from that JP shell that always goes around MPKing people!!!

Because it was just stupid. Maseki was just telling me a few days before how rumors were flying about MPK attempts because of the MG incident, and I conceded it was just stupid how people love to spread stupid rumors. And we were gonna just let the whole thing go... then bam he's spreading stupid rumors. It's kind of like... shit, if you want to make the whole incident go away, shut your mouth for a few weeks.

While i was in OH, we always tanked MG strait up, hell i even got to tank him strait up. We would usually split into groups of 6 to clean out sky. I dont think OH was under the impression of , "OMG they going to steal it!, im going to strait up tank it to lessen the chance"

A. Sozuu is a NM, i would take him in a heartbeat if he turned yellow. He
is not Nidhogg, and he is not King Behemoth. He is a normal NM, just
as anyone would take Argus or Valkrum Emperor if they could. In my
opinion if you can't keep an NM claimed you don't deserver it.
HNMs are a different story, as they take for the most part effort, and
alot of kiting.

B. Not to be cold and calculated, but, you're camping Sozuu as a RDM,
do you even have thf subbed or do you go RDM/WAR? Stop wasting
NM's, have you ever heard of his drop rate? Leave that NM to the THFs
it's not for mages :roll: to camp (as if mages should camp any NMs)


In summary, he is a NM people, so sick of all the whining about stealing.
We are not talking about a mob you have to kite and it takes 2 hours to kill.

Sozuu should ONLY be camped with TH2, anything less than that is NOT acceptable with his drop rate....

Rethink that. There are ways for another player to force a mob to become unclaimed that you cannot control. Thats a shitty statement to make. I could spam cures on you to the point where you cannot move and eventually you will lose the claim. But I don't have to worry about you bitching about it because you already stated that you dont deserve to keep it since you lost it.

If a NM goes yellow you lost it. You can spam cure all you want but you will not get me to unclaim a NM. spells do not affect the use of a xbow. Using bloody and acis bolts will keep hate enough along with steal and mug. If you cant keep hate it your problem. If it is yellow its fare game I dont care whos standing there. Ill camp aginst anyone you may get the claim but if it goes yellow you've lost thats part of camping NM's.

If for some reason I lost clame thats my problem. Ill get it another time thats part af campins NM's.

We've mostly taken the magic route on MG, & since there were 3-4 dead OH members before this shit happened, we assumed they were fighting it with those losses because they didn't want any kind of opening. But you're right, a straight up melee attack may have been part of a regular strategy.
