so today is going just normal in my new house, waitin for my wifes family to show up and deliver our new refrigerator and throw out our dead one.
we get the broken one outside and i feel a drop of water.
i figure, we better hurry its gonna rain.
i walk out front and ive never seen anything like this before, but it was pouring down rain at the other end of our street...but not ours.
so we rush to start movin the fridge in, and just as we get it off the truck, i look and the rain is coming toward us fast...then it hits.
we are drenched in seconds.
its coming down hard.
we start rushing to roll it to the house, when it picks up heavier and whites everything out so we cant see anything around us and no one can see us. It starts hailing and hitting us hard.
we get it in the house, dry off and laugh about it for a little bit.
It calms.
I go to the store to get something to drink.
the main street is a river, Nothing but knee high water.
i come back home from the store and grab the camera to take some pictures.
i go down in the basement to get some new batteries...as im about to leave i see a HUGE puddle coming from the sewage drain and spreading fast.
our basement is our main room of the house, carpeted, fully furnished, game room, Bar, stage, computer area, bathroom with shower and laundry room in this huge basement.
i start picking up everything and unplugging everything i can as it spreads fast. it stops flowing just before reaching the computer area luckily.
we lost our carpeting for sure though, and things were just starting to look up for us here in what has been a hectic time balancing out the price of living in our new place.
our newly patched roof startes leaking through the walls into the kitchen upstairs, luckily not that bad, just a small puddle.
the bathroom in the basement starts leaking after i already fixed the leaking problem we had when we moved in.
had not had time to buy house insurance yet...only been here one month.
luckily the only real damage as of now is the carpeting in the basement, which i wont be able to replace for a little while here. my friends chair maybe and thats really it...i luckily caught it before we lost any of our electronics and stuff. pictures soon.
