I am currently building a party right now as i Type this. A rdm named Revrandlord is seeking. I ask if he wants to pt and he says yes.. i go to jeuno and invite him and he says "sorry meant to put flag down, not accept" and disbands.

Im kinda shocked since he agreed so i send a tell asking why not join and I get in reply "whm is a waste of a spot and I want DRG" WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SHIT?!! I reply with "how do you figure that whm is a waste of a spot when they HEAL PEOPLE." and I get "I can haste, heal, and refresh as long as the nin is compitent."

Now this is True, but i ask "why over work yourself" and he says that's a rdm's duties as long as the tank is decent" now, I dont know about the rest of you all, but my understanding is that the rdm is to enfeeble,dispel, and refresh.. NOT FUCKIN PLAY WHM. This shit has pissed me off so bad that i had to post it. I may be wrong for feeling the way that I do, but I have played this game for almost 3 years and have NEVER had something like this happen and I find it dumb as hell.

Anyone who feels the same as this dipshit... FUCK YOU TOO!

I didnt get that shit either, rather have a drg and overwork himself then be in a good pt and kick back.. fuckin idiot
 
I love DRGs! And I went from 40-75 as a main healer on RDM with a NIN tank. BUT you do not accept an invite and turn it down like that. He should have asked what the setup was before saying yes.
 
He's right though... with a NIN tank... a RDM and a WHM in the party is a waste.... Granted, his means of delivering the message was a little retarded... but still, lol, he is right.
 
The first part about disbanding is retarded, yeah. But a RDM can heal fine even with a PLD tank, and definetly with a NIN tank. I've done both and it's really not that hard.
 
I know that a rdm can heal just fine. But to sit there and say a whm is a waste of space is dumb. I mean because he wants a drg in the party? get the fuck outta here. And he did know the set up before i sent the invite.

They pick up a job such as RDM or BRD and become asses because no matter what, they'll get an invite.

Not really, RDM get passed up for BRD in a minute, especially at lvl 75.
 
stuck up RDMs like that guy makes the rest of us look bad. granted when im putting together a party usually try to look for a brd first since brd+rdm = holyness IMO, but if a whm is seeking of course ill invite him first.
 
With a whm in the party, the rdm can toss out a few nukes and actually contribute to the speed of kills rather than just resort to being the sole healer. Plus, with 2 hasters in the group, every melee can get haste; rather than just the tank and maybe 1 other. Very few rdm's want to be the main healer and tell a party not to invite a whm, so I'm pretty surprised that he'd refuse to party with one.
 
Unless there was like, a summoner in there too, the rdm was just a stupid bitch.

Also, WHM > RDM for merit healing. I wonder if he realises that yet?

yeah, but a rdm contributing to the speed of kills isn't really as good as say... a real DD contributing to the speed of kills instead of a whm. The real reason you invite a whm post 65 is cause you know your party is going to get you killed and you want to be safer with your exp.

Eh, it's nice to have WHM in pickups because you never know what kind of retards you're going to run across that just haven't learned to play yet. If you semi knew the people though and knew the RDM and how good he was, you'd be the idiot >.>
 
Having a Whm in your party means you don't need to harrass other pts Whms for raises when someone dies. Thus negating a shit load of downtime and helping stop Whms (like me) from getting pissed off at some moron who didn't think to get a Whm in his pt.
