This posting is in regard to a blog TG has posted about Todd Willingham who was executed for the "arson" that lead to his daughters' death. Way to go Rick, way to fucking go. Your thoughts folks.

Huh. That's....strangely interesting, and really doesn't bode well for Perry nationally. However, I wasn't aware that Rick had a good national image anyway (not sure about his state-wide image though).

His image in Texas is mixed, he isn't well liked here in El Paso but then again, this city is the small bastion of Dems in a predominantly red state, so that figures. Still, his recent moves to deploy the Texas Rangers to border communities was also met with raised eyebrows since no community has really been overrun by traffickers and smugglers as he said they were. My belief is that he's more of a joke than anything else. He is tryin to keep w/e support he can since he is up for a tough re-election battle agains Kay Bailey Hutchison heh heh, as much as I dont like the GOP, I hope she wins.

I think I read a bit about this yesterday. Something about interviews with the prosecutor and the judge who knew the evidence was weak but saw a metalhead defendant with band posters on his walls and maybe some tattoos, so they figured he was the type of guy who'd kill his own kids. Echoes of West Mempish, Arkansas, and "satanic panic" and all that. But my limited knowledge comes at a glance and nothing too in dept.
