Fuckwads Fuck Up Industry

There are times when I complain about Nintendo's reluctance to allow voice chat for their online games, but then I remember how many times I've gone on Xbox Live and heard the foulest, most homophobic trash talk imaginable. Pure idiocy in its most primal form.

I'm glad they're finally recognizing it's a problem.

I agree. Nothing ruins a good game of Team Fortress/Counter-Strike like hearing what sounds like an eight-year-old say "you fucking noob/bitch/f*gg*t/<denigrating term>".

Latchkey kids are so much fun.

Agreed. I can't remember the last time i played Halo with a headset on.

I think Nintendo should have allowed voice chat to people who's friend code you've registered. I hate having to text message my friend every time I beat his ass into the ground, but I have to make sure he knows I'm calling him a bitch.

Meh, that's what the mute options are for. Use them or be annoyed.

I added you on SSBB, and you still haven't added me :x

Never really had an issues on PSN that were voice chat related. A team killer on Warhawk once, but he didn't even have a headset. The weird thing was teamkill was off, so he was just annoying. Only had a gold account for the month trial on XBL, and I didn't hear all that trash talk that everyone claims is constant. I was really quite surprised, since I came in expecting it. All I found annoying was occasionally some really loud 9 year olds shouting constant orders and giving everyone updates about everything they're doing like we care.

Not much you can do about that. I don't consider myself by any means hardcore and it is not an issue for me. Maybe some really sheltered types would love to be playing online constantly, but they're probably more discouraged by the reputation people have online than the actual experience which isn't all that bad.

Exactly. Voice chat makes online games so much better. Playing TH on R6V2 online without being able to talk would just suck ass. Not to mention trash talk can be fun as hell. Halo would not be halo w/ out the trash talk. Plus theres nothing better then joining a room w/ a snotty little shit whos like were gonna kick your faggot asses, and then you just wipe the floor with them.

play on BoSS server :P no Flashbangs and they always have an admin and mute/ban/kick those kids fast if they really become a problem (they most surely mute them asap)

I largely stopped playing CS1.6/CSS when the "pay for admin" thing became popular. I was a member of a fairly respectable Public Clan (Section 9) and was an admin on their server until the clan leader went dogshit and started allowing people to pay for admin slots.

Then we started having the myg0t pieces of shit invade the server, and nobody did anything about it because they simply didn't care. I lost my admin rights to the server because I wasn't paying, and so I told them, and CS in general to piss off.

I like flashbangs though lol.

BoSS, far as I can understand it, you have to help pay for the server (so basically as more admins are allowed to be had, the cost of the server/# of admins = how much you send the owner) and you have to have been playing there for several months (maybe a year), fairly active on the forum (I don't even go to the forum XD) and basically liked by the majority of the members. It works out well cause most admins are good (a few are pricks) and it's fairly fair. And sometimes the admins screw around really amusingly :P but ya, I haven't played anything on Valve in awhile.. if I do I play TF2

And flashbangs are lame. Too many dicks that come in and spam them to blind everyone (and usually just teammates) so ya.. they suck too much.
