If I wanted to, I could easily break +45 chr on my charm gear, but I figured +15vit, +32chr, -5 damage taken would be a little more beneficial in my (mis)charm set. There's a point where you just don't need any more chr as bst.

Lest we forget the mischarm on the Forest Hare, yes? :wink:

Not to mention +45chr will have a hell of alot of less mischarms than +32... =P Buuuut that's just me. Me and my NQ BST AF. So my opinion = lolvoid~ >_<

I use apollo's staff on my charms. To be perfectly honest, I haven't noticed any lower charm rate with +32 than I have with +45, thus my comment. I suppose If I were to try to charm those VT slimes again in Mamook it would be wise of me to max out my chr, but so far I've had perfect luck with +32 chr. My tame macro has +21 int, so even when I mischarm on exp mobs, I'm 99% able to tame. And when I'm unable to tame, I'm a pretty good blink tank.

I don't think I've taken any damage due to a mischarm in weeks. hehe. Any deaths I've had in the past month as bst were due to my sheer stupidity or drunkenness.

The ONLY time I've mischarmed and taken damage in the past few weeks were when I took apollo's staff out of my macro to save tp. I did that in a duo at bibiki bay with dejan but soon decided it wasn't worth it. But that's it. So that doesn't count.

When I was L72 charming EM Eruca's, their gauge changed from "Might be able to Charm" to "Should be able to charm" at +34CHR (with an Apollo's, although I'm not sure that affects the Gauge".

For normal mobs it may be easy hit that CHR cap, but for those mobs that make really great pets, but are tougher to charm, then that extra has got to help. Especially when you're working with linking pets, or changing pets midfight, when Tame won't get you out of trouble.

Yeah, completely true. When I decide to destroy mass mobs with the VT opo-opo's in den of rancor my chr set goes back on just for safety sake. But with af+1 I already have more chr than I had with regular old bst AF, so any mobs I was able to charm in the past I'm just as able to charm now.

I'm going to have to equip my bst set tonight when I get home. I've been tossing around that +chr number, but I might have more.

Does it worth to get the head and body +1? I was the first NA got bst AF+1 i'm 3/5 but still thinking is it worth to get other 2. I use relic head and body. But congrat it alot of work to get the +1 items especially when coins worth 300k for one lol

Yes, the head is one of the better pieces. The +8mnd is great for stoneskin, and the +8int is great for tame. I use monster helm for charms though.

The body was the last piece I picked up because I figured it was the least beneficial of the set. However, it is worth the effort for the +3 more vit, +1 more charm, and +5 more defense. It's a small gain, but like anything else in the game, you have to put your back into getting those little bonuses.

But congrat it alot of work to get the +1 items especially when coins worth 300k for one lol

Soloing marids as blm when the expansion came out actually helped me a lot with the coins. I believe coins were about 150k back then, and marid hairs were 350k. So I'd kill a ton of marids, leave with 5 hairs, go buy a bunch of coins, rinse, repeat. hehe. I made so much money off of those big elephants.
