My first char w/ full AF hells yes. Big up to The Seventh Circle ls and other random ppl I've been lvling with who decided to make an appearance for my final NM battle for the surcoat.

IMO, with all of the boosts to shield for pld lately, the AF feet are the best piece. Expecially with capped shield!!

Hey this reminds me - which shield should I go with? I purchased the darksteel shield @ lvl 60, which only has 1 more def. than the 55 one w/ +3mnd +3 chr... did I make a stupid choice? Can always sell this one back and get the lvl 55 one at half the cost. Any thoughts?

I would go with the lvl 55 one. But I never lvled Paladin, but more mnd and chr can't hurt you.

Personally i would use neither. if ur going to stack vitality i would use the tka shield +2 it's lvl 52. granted the vitality only adds when ur inside ur nation's controlled area but if you lvl in the old areas it has a 1/4 chance of procing, which is better than the 1 defense added by the darksteel shield +1 this. if you wanna stack hate some more from hittin the mob/if you have a hauby, i would use a rka shield +2.

Yea, you could be right here, I wore my AF feet until just recently when I got my Marine M Boots. For Endgame though, you end up Kiting alot more using E-Staff, so that + shield skill doesn't do a whole lot for you. I always wear my Surcoat for Dynamis and Gods though, +20 HP {Yes, Please!}

In regular XP parties, stick with the AF boots ^^
