I always loved running into these threads on forums, and I figure what better place than here to start one ^^.

10) The first word to pop into your mind after a boss, Girlfriend, Boytfriend, parent or Law officer confronts you is 'Aggro'.
9) You've ever considered Peeing in a bottle so you didn't mis a Notorious Monster.
8) you did pee in a bottle as to not miss the Spawn.
7) started using the Phrases available in the Auto-translate in real life.
6) grown a strange fondness for cats.
5) the word 'Thundermelon' comes up in normal conversation.
4) you are a player that has over 125 days of play logged.. (1/3 of your year was spent playing, that rivals sleep buddy)
3) your respect for little people skyrocketed.
2) ever called somone in real life a n00b?
1) Tried to explain to somone the socio-economic impact of gil sellers to somone that has never played the game.

I guess you're playing way too much FFXI when you go in a bar, see a cute girl and all the other boys around, run in front of her with both arms extended backward and try to "Voke" her before the others do......
 
almost all of those apply to me....except for peeing in a bottle.....but i have considered the idea lmao, then i thought....no....i'll have to move to clean that up later....
 
... or you might be playing too much when you grab some bread, lettuce, slice of tomato, cheese and turkey, get on one knee with your arms in front of you, concentrate really hard and try to "synth" a sandwich.
 
One more? Might be pusing it with this one.....

You might be playing to much when after going out with buddies all night, you get back at 3:00 in the morning and to avoid Girlfriend "Aggro", you pour some oil on you and hope to get "Sneak" effect....

Ok here are somethings I've done that show that I play too much.
1) Had dreams of really good exp PTs, only to wake up and be sad.
2) Had dreams of aggro and death, and leveling down, only to wake up and be happy
3) Call money "Gil"
4) Insted of doodling on school note, jot down your dream PT set up.
5)Go shopping and ask the clerk for a price history...orz
6)Wish you had flee
7)Go to the airport to pick someone up and ask them how the "Airship ride" was
8) Get in a car, turn on the radio and expect "Chocobo Music".
9) Calling singers "Bards"
10)When your about to go out with friends and you say "Hold on, I need to equip some new pants".
 
I'm guilty of number two >>;

You know you play too much when you dress up as a ninja and let people beat down on you so your friends can attack them...

You know you play too much when you take a giant pole and start trying to summon things using a lighter(Ifrit), snow(Shiva), a glass of water(Leviathan), etc.

You know you play too much when you try to "Charm" your cat into making it eat your homework...

You know you play too much when you start doing the animations for Protect, and the noises, and etc.(MY FRIEND IS GUILTY OF THIS)

You know you play too much when you run around shooting imaginary bow and arrows like an elvaan(i'm guilty)

When you punch someone, and you say 30 Damage! Miss! Miss! 59 Damage! Critical for 109!

When you do weapon skills with objects....
 
Every time I walk into my bedroom, I really do expect to hear the moghouse music playing.

OMG I did have that dream... I was in the Dunes

THis happened to me after staying up for close to 28 hours getting level 60. I didn't have buffer....when I woke up I was soo worried, when I logged on, I saw my lil taru in her shiny AF coat and was happy.

as for number 10...well that was just embarassing
 
I've definitely used some FFXI terminology "accidentally" before...but the real thing that made me sigh was when I had a dream that I was borrowing my friends lvl 64 thf(I actual did earlier that day) and died. He would have been pissed, but the worst thing in the dream was that somehow in a Qufim lvl area I got aggro'd, died, got raised, died, repeat......until he was lvl 59. And this was all during a bathroom break.(In dream of course)

After that I decided it was time to take a short break.... :roll:
 
I had a dream that I was sitting on my living-room couch, watching TV, and Jack poped up on my widescan. I ran outside my garage to a pich black night, and started rummaging through the bushes to find him. Then I realize that somebody must have got him already.....
I go back in my house, to watch more TV.... BAM he pops on widescan again.. I run outside to find this rabbit (not animated) and realize that I did not bring a weapon. I go back inside and grab a hammer, run back outside. Then it hits me that I would have to kill a real rabbit, and that there would be blood and guts everywhere, and I STILL probably will not get the rabbit charm.

I turn around, walk back inside........... AND WAKE UP.

Needless to say, I had to take a FFXI break for a few days.
 
1) I tend to hit "tab" to try and make my e-mails go quicker at work.

2) When road rage hits I often use the word "asshat"

3) I lost my boss on the cell phone, out in the sticks of Northern Wisconsin,
when I regained signal, I accidently told him I must've "zoned" out of range.

4) I had a dream the night before I got my Ochiudo's Kote, that I got them.

Im sure there's more, Ill ask my husband when I get home, he usually points them out ^^

You know it's bad when your roommate who doesn't even play the game goes "Where the fuck you going, Jueno?!" when you're lost. Or when you start calling your friends by their screen name instead of their real name...*cough* palum *cough*.
 
LOL Sabia!! My roommate does the same thing and he doesn't play...but the way I know I play too much, aside from doing some of the things posted already, is look at my game play time and see I have 172hours of play time and I started the last week of March of this year :shock: :shock: :shock:

I always get aggroed by tests.
I always say <Hmm...> <That's too bad>, or that test was <Increadibly Tough>

LOL @ Sabia, I have a similar instance because there is this one person I know who is OBSESSED with the game (I'm serious FFXI is his blood), my friends and I always make fun of him and throw bottle caps and other stuff at him while saying "TRY USING PERFECT DODGE NOW!" (P.S. none of my friends play ffxi, that one came from your truly....I'm so evil :twisted: )

lol i actually did that a couple times for laughs- i had my ipod+itrip on and played the ffxi choco song while driving the first 2-3 min lmao!

lol when i was writing a paper and was trying to word "then get dressed in uniform" i first typed "then equip the uniform" hehe :roll:
