Funny BoL

Ok, thanks for the load of uninformed, useless crap.

And you'll be keeping on looking.
Noone wants a member that only come's when
they are up for stuff. That's not restricted to BoL.
That's common sense.

Btw, im not sure i translated her jibberish right,
and if i didnt, my answer may seem weird. >.>

I agree and disagree with some of the points here.

*IF* The shell wants/needs you as a certain job class, i.e. they need you in sky as RDM and at say an O-hat Run as a NIN... common sence would be that you go with the job class that is needed most so that you are not simply being a waste of space unless you just hate the job you're being asked to use. Two reasons most end-game players focus on a second job: They become tired of their main job (find another job that they find more fun for them to play) or want to be more versitile for any sittutation that they might be in.

It is not as uncommon as you might think for a person to always go to sky as one job and use the time to obtain gear for another job. That holds true not only in sky, but anywhere. If BoL told you to declare a main job (which I do believe that is how they do things) and you didn't, shame on you. Now if you say you want obtain NIN gear instead of RDM gear and they always need you as RDM and refuse to allow you gear on your NIN because they need you to play RDM, shame on them. Make sense? People with multiple jobs at 75 seem to always throw off the rules because most rules were created way back when most people only had one job at 75.

I've always held slight respect to the idea that gear should be distributed to members based on the idea of bettering the linkshell as a whole... but to me personally, I find that you're far better off bettering the individual for the good of the whole. Strangely, it is much the same... but quite different. It's sorta the reversing of "What can you do to better your linkshell?" to "What can our linkshell do to better 'our members?" In the end it doesn't matter, as you'll leave and BoL will have another new bloke to take your place.

To BoL: Last week's flame was much better. Rate Down ^^p

To the OP: Just some advice. If you have numerous high-end jobs leveled (especially rdm and ninja) than I am sure you won't have trouble getting into another end-game shell. Just realize that most of those shells are not just going to "give" you the item you want because you show up everytime that byakko is popped. Show dedication, put in your time, and most importantly read their rules and figure out how they do things before you invest a lot've time into stipulations that you might not personally agree with.

To Shaidalyn: The reason that a BLM who might not receive anything in sky would continue to be in sky is that they might actually enjoy it or simply enjoy the people that they do sky with. It's not uncommon. If neither is true, than I think they're simply werid. ;o If you remove and/or ignore the drama of end-game it is actually a lot've fun. :)

And your one to talk about other peoples realationships you know nothing of what happened between Ex and his "other" so dont speak on it.. and maybe you should tell Ky about all this http://qcdn.org/showthread.php?t=18830.. Just a few thoughts.

Before I joined OH I already had my zenith mitts. I come 90% of the time as BLM to Outterheaven events. I've still gotten my Noble's Tunic, my Zenith legs, head, my Koenig head(already had hands). Wyrmal Legs, Seiryu Kots, Haidates and about to get Osode.

Does it help the linkshell out that I have all that stuff? Well sure a little. What matters isn't that they need my paladin so badly, it matters that when we're short on Paladins, I can kite Kirin, and not as some crappy backup, I have all the Paladin gear, I can do it fine. Now if I said, "fuck you, I'm a blackmage," then I have no right to get Paladin gear. But it's what I'm available as, not what I'm needed most as. Otherwise, you really punish people in effect for leveling mage jobs. The best sky gear is for melees not mages. Mages are what's needed more. The idea that by being a mage you don't get melee gear is ridiculous. And the idea that by getting melee gear you shouldn't come as your mage is ridiculous.

Being inactive? I can't comment on that. Just the argument there.

And just a note... you guys only got 4 A Hands total...? Didn't Watchyourstep take 2 A hands...?

I'll comment... does it really make BOL more powerful to have Watchyourstep have a HQ Mitts instead of a NQ mitts? I refuse to take a A Hands from my shell to upgrade my mitts, and we've gotten a hell of a lot more than 4 and from what I understand my BLM comes to sky a hell of a lot more than WTS. So why take an abjur to upgrade a BLM who rarely shows another Magic attack bonus instead of giving another who shows more hands at all? How does that make your shell more powerful?

He was not inactice for as long as they claim, for the past 3 months I was on BoL I can swear I saw him or her w/e Female hume, on about 60% of the time I was on. also there are many times Nik would offer help on quests on other stuff like DM that were posted on the forum knowing full well he would not get anything in return. WYS has 1 zenith hand from what I can remeber but he was tryin to sell his PCC to get his hand on ZM+1. BoL is full of it you and I both know it, its time QCDN knew it.

You are right.... I just looked it up.... he have got a hell of a lot more then 4..... we have got 7. O.O

well hell... i dont know why I have Firestreaks name in there... but oh well no edit button... Oh and btw Darklion we got 1 of those Zenith mitts AFTER you left. So 6 total when you left when you were there you only witnessed 2 drops.

Um.. I didn't say anything about 2 drops.

You dumbass... you said "we got a hell of a lot more then 4"

I was just saying that is a bold faced lie. As far as you could have ever known is we only got 6. 6 is NOT "a hell of a lot more then 4" last time I was in math class.

I have never had anything against you but fudging numbers to make my LS look bad is just plain stupid.

curious Fire, did you get those after people that only have a PLD as their main (in terms of PLD gear) and have been helpful? :P cause that was my point. That most choose one job to get the best gear and, sure, have other gear they want for other jobs but they shouldn't expect to get them over someone that only has that one job as their main and want that gear for their job.

jesus christ.... I concede.... I am the dumbass. I read Firestreaks post about his LS and thought it was you saying that.

My apologies for calling you a dumbass.

NP we are both grow men and I accept your apoligie. I didn't wanna start anything with ya either.

No, I said "I got a hell of a lot more than 4." I'm in Outterheaven, not BoL. I was attempting to make a point being that we do restrict members' rewards based on our demand for their jobs, yet at the same time we are less wasteful than to give 2 A hands to the same member two weeks in a row, even if he's the leader. I don't see how you give all your A hands to one guy cause he wants them yet don't give haidates to another member because they leveled a job that's more useful to you.
