Furor Hired by Blizzard as WoW quest designer

oh yeah? I dont know who this furor guy is but I have an interview tomorrow.

For what?

To be a GM for FFXI! I know its not as cool as quest writer for a game but hey it will be my first industry job. I think its gonna be sweet if i get this position. My current major in college may be able to help me out with this. "Game Art and Design" at the Art Institute in California.

I'll let you guys know in a day or two if I'm a cool guy or just a loser that applied to be a GM for the MMO he likes to play.

Furor is one of the all time Everquest Gods, loved and hated, perhaps a bit more hated than loved, but with his whiney and yet superior attitude he got shit done.
 
So is that a full-time with benefits, or a part time sort of thing, how much do they pay you?
 
This is a Full-time job. Benefits if i want them. It is pretty sweet. Closely monitored by the Japanese side of the operation to prevent abuse (i.e. buffing my character out with gil or equipment). I wouldnt even take the chance of getting fired though. I am not allowed to disclose any other details about the GM characters or the operation. Just know that if you ever need a GM, one of your own is out there watching over you guys.

If you are interested in a job i suggest checking jobsummit.com and do a search on Game Master...thats how i found the job.
