G.I. Joe's ensemble cast includes Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sienna Miller, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui and Dennis Quaid.

Movie is instant fail because Marlon Wayans is in it. Which is said, because I think it might have potential.

The presence of Dennis Quaid doesn't make me too excited either...WTF is up with all of these late-20s actors/actresses being cast as characters who are in the mid-30s to mid-40s? I mean seriously, Channing Tatum as fucking Duke?!

I'd probably watch it just for the inevitable Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow fight.

Don't be so harsh on Marlon Wayans though, he's a pretty good actor, nearly all of the Wayans are. Sure he's usually in comedies and whatnot but I'm pretty positive he can play serious roles too. If anything, maybe he'll provide some comic relief for the action move.. someone's got to do it.

The last serious movie that any of the Wayans brothers was in (as far as I can remember), was The Last Boy Scout, and that wasn't really that good. They should have just stuck with comedy movies that suck, and leave my childhood heroes alone.

I think Marlon Wayans actually did a good job when he was in Requiem for a Dream. Plus it's G.I. Joe and one of the writers is the bright mind behind Swordfish and Hitman. We're not talking Shakespeare.

Considering how high Michael Bay rose the bar with Transformers, this movie will be a successful adaptation of an 80s cartoon as long as the cast doesn't resort to cannibalism or shit themselves on camera.

The Last Boy Scout was not that bad.

My guess he be playing a role simialar to that of what he did in D&D. A New guy who will be the whiner and always on the receiving end of a joke. I mean he is playing Ripcord.

One would hope so, but would not count on it.

How about Joseph Gordon Levit as Cobra Commander? Does anyone else have a hard time seeing him as anything other than "Tommy" from "3rd Rock From The Sun"?

What is the deal with all the nonsense going on in this movie.

low budget film didn't want to spend money on big name actors?
Set yourself up for what this will be. Somewhere between Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
