if there wasnt a g6 then there wouldnt be lvl 80 items in the game well they arent really in the game at the moment but my friend whos a real wiz with computers was looking through the dat files of the game or something and he said he found a lvl 80 weapon and some gear that was above lvl 75 so explain that?

Items like this have just been placed into the game, but are not actually ready to be released yet, mainly because they are still being tested. Example, before dynamis came out, the Relic weapons were the exact same, they could be found in .Dat files, but were still being tested, they are simply put to Lv.s above 75 so that they are un-usable (apart from [GM]s etc) until they are ready to be released, thus saving on bandwidth and download time on the large updates that released them.
