I think I would be more willing to make some guides if I could host the pictures I would use for them here. I think it would benefit the site to have them here as well, concidering how quickly the pics become unviewable if the guide is actually popular and photobucket removes it.

I had looked at Coppermine and Photopost before. Then there is a plugin for vBulletin called vBGallery or something like that, which would likely be the easiest solution.

In either case, images for guides can be emailed to me and I will put them up under http://www.qcdn.org/asstes/guidename/imagename.*.

I will try and put up a gallery option by the end of the month, but it will be tight as I am out of town between the 11th and the 23rd.

How exactly would this be instituted into QCDN? For some reason, i'm having trouble invisioning what your talking about. Sometimes my brainmeats just dont work right >.<

Basically. I think this is how sculli envisions it too. I think a section of the forums should be devoted to pictures of our fellow posters, and I also think it'd be nice to incorporate this into the profile section some how.

Back in the day, we actually had what was an open scrapbook of sorts up at the top of the page. You clicked it and you could see all the the pictures people uploaded, and they were hosted in the same spot the server was, (to the best of my knowledge). All we would need is something just like we had in the past, and then we could use IMG links from there into posts and you wouldnt have to worry about a picture exceeding one of the public sites (exhotobucket) removing it due to bandwidth issues.

This would be ideal for creating guides, and I suppose, now that I think about it, flushing out some of the stories you guys like to make in Traveler's Tavern.
